looking for comments on autocleaners for filter cartridges. I have a 'wand' type and have seen the 'flosser' but I'm considering getting one of these auto/selfcleaners to help extend the life of my cartridge. Seems that the models basically lay the filter down and spin by water force. suggest? pass? Thanks

All of those gimmicks are just that gimmicks. Just use a good house pressure hose end you can get from home depot once every cpl months depending on your bather load and filter pressure. Once a year let it sit in some cartridge cleaner solution.

Just removed a customers cartridge that had been the original 14 years. Nasty looking thing but it still worked. He wanted me to leave it in until I showed him the tears in it.
