Gfam Posted June 12, 2009 Report Posted June 12, 2009 looking for comments on autocleaners for filter cartridges. I have a 'wand' type and have seen the 'flosser' but I'm considering getting one of these auto/selfcleaners to help extend the life of my cartridge. Seems that the models basically lay the filter down and spin by water force. suggest? pass? Thanks Quote

Just use a good house pressure hose end you can get from home depot once every cpl months depending on your bather load and filter pressure. Once a year let it sit in some cartridge cleaner solution. Just removed a customers cartridge that had been the original 14 years. Nasty looking thing but it still worked. He wanted me to leave it in until I showed him the tears in it. Quote
