I have a free form pool. Used to have the old 70's style of white cap tiles onthe inside, then the water line tile and then the plaster. redoign pool to remove cap tiles and put in water line tile with a coping stone/paver.

I was sold a 12 x 12 paver. Iliked the wider look to outline the perimter of the pool.

The foreman putting them in, tells me it will look like cr*p since my pool is a free form oval-y shape. And that I need to use the thing 4x 12 (4 in wide by 12 inch long). I didn't like this look and I'm not even sure they will look good on the oval pool - as I am laying them without grout.

The pool remodel is mid-process and been on hol for 2 weeks because I prefer a wider stone on the peremiter, but I understand that the 12x12 may not look nice.

Anyone had a remodel or ideas on what options I have? I tore up all concrete in the back yeard to put in pavers/coping stone - but now I'm stuck with one option and it's not one i love....

Sorry about the other 2 posts, i'm multitasking

Have you considered a cast in place concrete coping, I can be stamped and/ or stained in a variety of colors and textures and since you are adding a complete deck, the thickness is probably not an issue. Avoid darker colors because it may become hot.
