mjmiller427
I had a biofilm issue which I cleared up with Ahh-Some...I refilled and balanced everything and took the sample to get checked professionally and everything was perfect. I use a bromine floater and over the past month all my levels are perfect except for the FCI reading which is off the charts. I use Leisure Time "Replenish" as a shock and I put a teaspoon in after each hot tub use. My question is how to lower my FCI (Bromine) level. Is it as simple as taking the feeder out for a few days?? chem geek
Yes, if you remove the feeder the level should drop. Also, your use of Replenish also increases the bromine level. So if you stop both, you should see the level drop and then just add enough Replenish after a soak OR use the floater dialed down to maintain the proper bromine level.
