David Mo
I have an older hot tub which is still in good shape. The problem is the old unit is analog, inaccurate in regulating the water temperature and beyond repair. When the heater died, the guy who has repaired my hot tub in the past said that Balboa is the best manufacturer, so given I trust his knowledge I would like to buy a new Balboa spa pack, perhaps unless someone says there is a more reliable and better bang for the buck brand. Hot tub specs.... Manufacturer: AH Equipment Co, Model: Gemini, Manufactured 10/88 Original spa pack: Pinnacle Systems, Model: 26-60-F100A2A40 Inside dimensions: 6' x 6' x 32" or about 675 gallons. Jets: six 1/2 inch diameter Water flow at spa pack: Right to left Power: 240 volts AC, 40 amps PVC pipe inside diameter: 1 1/2" I would like to have ozone and a controller that can be adjusted from inside the tub, but not a wireless controller, unless there is no other alternative. What would be a suitable spa pack? I am pretty handy with electrical systems and other household systems, so I think I will be okay installing the spa pack by myself. I just want to make sure I buy the right equipment. I also need a new cover. I would like to find one that will not be sagging downwards pooling water after a few years. Do any exist? Thanks so much, David
David Mo
I am also looking for a supplier. I have called Spa Parts Depot and Hot Tub Works but they are always either busy or do not answer their voice mail. Is there another supplier who you like? Spa God
Balboa VS501Z. You pay a bit more but it is so far above anything else it is silly... can get them around $600 with top side and overlay. The only reasons all spa manufacturers dotn use Balboa is because they are expensive and they treat you like crap... but you can not do better. hjames710
I love my Balboa 2000 LE. Pricey, but it always works like a charm.
