  1. You should be able to get a refurb'd pack, blower and pump for around a grand not sure on the shipping though. Unsure on your power system, do you have 120/240 single phase 60hz?
  2. That's all mechanical, parts should be easy to get locally.
  3. I'll check the svc manual tommorow but most jets will twist out, without draining the spa.
  4. Ask to see the relacement parts, if the seller can't show you the parts walk away. Mass merchant spas can be a good buy, just do your research on who will repair them. Research the componants. Generic are generally the easiest to obtain and the most cost effective. Oem are the opposite. Call the repair people and investigate what parts they have in stock, where would they come from, how long a wait would a repair be, what is and is not covered. Do your research. Lots of dealers just want to sell you a spa and then wash their hands.
  5. I too have pulled them out. The customer still has to adjust the output, that was my biggest gripe. If someone makes a self regulating model I'd be interested in installing one. I believe Sundance tried it and it was a dismal failure.
  6. Unsure how it is wired in but @ 240 v it should be around 14 ohms. Google that heater because some of them were recalled.
  7. Where are you? A mfr that recently went bankrupt had a few, glassed undrilled, and I could put you in touch with buyer.
  8. I'm in Ont as well. Shoot me an pm and I'll email you a before and after shot of a full refit with 2lb density foam. If you build a cabinet around the whole tub, allow for venting in the summer.
  9. Why do you feel it needs all these parts?
  10. As stated, if you can't fork over the cash for the above mentioned tubs, go mass mearchant. I have delt with manufacturers who sold thru big box and even if the mfr can't help, the retailer will step up. My only major fault with many mass merchant tubs is the lack of insulation. It's very common that a cheaper tub uses lesser forms of insulation. Depending on your situation that may not be an issue.
  11. If they were or are a clear or white color. They seem to get mushy and leave a residue that looks like putty. Yep. That's the chemicals attacking the rubber. Clean the faces, replace the oring/gaskets.
  12. If it hasn't been used in a while the relay chatter may go away after you turn the pump off and on a few times. The black wire going to the timer is likely 110v to power the timer motor. The red and yellow wires are likely switched power to/from the boadr.
  13. I was, and worked for them for a time. Got my start in '94 with CHS. Is this you? I'd be interested in helping out. There are some branded pacific parts still around. Too bad they went tit's up, they really did build a great tub for the money.
  14. Who's brand breaker is it? Looks like it might be a branded cutler hammer..the did have some problems in mid 90's.
  15. Getting in bed with mass mearchants has been the death of many mfr's..with one exception as far as I know, Maax. I've been witness to the slaughter a few times.
