  1. Sounds to me like you may have something wrong with the board in the pack or power to the spa. Watch the spa and see if the spa reboots. Castletonia is correct "Pr" stands for Priming Mode this is shown for 4 minutes whenever the spa powers on. If you were losing power to the spa this would cause the system reset. If you do not lose power to the spa and the systems just reboots on it's own, it is probably something not right with the power to the spa itself (Loose wire or something of the sort) or the board has a problem and is rebooting.
  2. nope it was a glitch with the costco website....sale ends today
  3. Strong spas is coming to the 2010 international trade show in Lyon, France! November 16-19th look out Europe we are blowing up in the Americas and we already have a foothold there. Be careful here we come!
  4. Also, I have a 2009 model and the 5.5KW heater instead of the new 4K unit. Are the dip switches the same and does this cause any issue with the cahnges I mentioned? Thanks, Rich Rich, No this will not affect anything. The pack is designed to handle it we just do not normally turn those features on to help keep the cost of running lower. You sound like you are completely set to run those features without any problems. Thanks, Chad
  5. Tenbears, I think one of the tech's already answered your question. I remember seeing a similar e-mail coming into the support box. If not please know that we do not yet have any dealers in that area. The only place that might have one of our spas in that area would be if one of the Sam's club stores in that area has decided to put one in the store. I know the 400 we sent out to stores has already almost sold out. I overheard a conversation between the Sam's club buyer and the President and they are very please with the response and are thinking of expanding the sales of the spas to more stores. The only other company that sells our spas around that area is Leslie's Poolmart, but they only have our roto lines so not much use there other than seeing some of the quality. Thanks, Chad
  6. Strowger, Sounds like you might have a suction with a leak. Give us a call on Monday and we'll find a tech to come out and repair the leak. Thanks, Chad
  7. Chad, My question is similar to Chad's. Where would I go for any issues with the Key West spa? I live the San Jose, CA bay area, and this is my only hesitation in buying it. thanks, Nancy Nancy, We contract a local technician to do any repairs on the spas. If parts are needed we send them directly to you. I do know we have a very good tech in the San Jose area, but without being at work I am not quite sure of the name. You can always call us during business hours to find the name of the company that we would use to service your spa. Thanks, Chad
  8. This could be from splashing as the water may pass some of the air controls. But, if you see the water in one area only then there is possibly a slow leak somewhere. Give us a call and we can have a tech come out and check out for a leak. Thanks, Chad
  9. The CSXi80 has 2x 4HP pumps where as the Key West has a single 4HP pump and a Blower (forces air through the jets for increased power) Thanks, Chad
  10. Northernva, The CSXi80 has twin 4HP pumps where the Key West has a single 4HP and a Blower pump. The blower pushes air through the jets as opposed to the normal vacuum air system. I still think power wise the 80 is the way to go although the 60 is nice. Thanks, Chad
  11. I'd just like to say that there are some merits about moving the spa around like stated. I would also like to say that there are plenty of companies who have been more than willing and more than able to offer the spa move service at a VERY reasonable price. There are definite advantages to dealer vs. Costco which I try to minimize as much as I can. We have been contacted by several techs/movers that help with that process. They are willing to and know that getting they're feet wet and getting a positive review on here or by word of mouth or even by us can help their business. I have talked to quite a few techs/movers that have done this for the first time gotten a great review from you customers and want to keep doing it. Normally we don't move a spa via the trucking company (and sometimes the trucking companies will BTW), but those customers/movers call us every time and tell us how great the experience was and the price. They then go on to our list for those who ask (and believe me it's asked a LOT) and we make sure that people know what has been said and whether or not they are willing/capable to do. I know a gentleman who has been moving/repairing spas for years outside LA that loves how much we help him and in turn he gives all of our customers a good break on the price. It's business and he knows it. Thanks Chad
  12. Hey everyone! Just figured I'd start a general thread for any questions/comments/concerns about our spa company. We manufacture the spas sold through Costco (US/Canada), Sam's Club, Sears Canada, and BJ's Wholesale Club, and of course our pretty large dealer network. If you have any questions please don't hesitate to ask! I'm on as much as I can to help with anything you want to know about our spas. I am trying to keep this thread separate from "how's it doing" to "I want to know more". Either way I watch them all and will answer anywhere I'm needed. Thanks for the support, Chad
  13. Sorry js, so much to do so little time, yes you can use a gravel base without a problem. The spa needs to be on a solid, level, stable surface is all. I've seen pictures of gravel, pavers, cement pads, decks, and even snap together spa pads. Just remember 75lbs/sq ft. and your good to go. Also due to ground movement make sure your gravel won't go anywhere. A good outside frame to the gravel will keep it in place. Thanks, Chad
  14. JerimiahR is right, I've had more than my fair share of calls saying that I had my electrician do it (who apparently has never wired a spa) and it' not even remotely right or the right gauge wire. In fact someone I had call in a month or more ago asked why it kept tripping the breaker. After some conversations (that could have easily been avoided) the wrong gauge wire was used. I never heard back from them...problem solved. Again, that's why I've said use someone who's done it before, not just the cheapest way to get the job done................. Thanks, Chad
