  1. She must be "nekked". I see where some comments from people indicated "they don't get it".
  2. Here's some links to sites that may have what you need: http://www.appliancepartsofamerica.com/huthermo.html http://www.usspaparts.com/
  3. Are you sure you are seeing "water marks", and it is not a common mark at the water line from body oil and dirt? What color are the marks?
  4. I am enjoying reading about the Costco experience. Mainly because I have not seen all the other related posts about them. I am also seeing a spirited digression of the OP into the area of "this has been done before". There are always repeated subject posts on all the forums, so I am not upset over that. This in fact maybe a complete new way to go about the Costco purchase as it is trying to be written as a diary, I like it.
  5. Glad you found the problem, that is what I suspected when I read about the issue you had. I use chlorine as a daily sanitizer, but for the weekly I use a non-chlorine, product. I have never had a problem with my water in 4 years, just gets cloudy from needing to be changed, but it takes a couple of months to get to that point.
  6. I have a 5 yo Solana TX that started leaking last season upon opening. After 2 months, and about $360.00 it was fixed by the dealer tech. It took them 4 visits. They ended up tearing out foam insulation to locate the leak. It was in a supply pipe to the back outlets. This is my first and last hot tub, I'll use the money on gas and heating oil next time If yours is leaking that badly, you have nothing to lose trying to find the leak your self and affecting a repair.
  7. Update May 2008 This year no leaks...yet, the control is working OK, not as good before it was futzed with. This year the "Moto-Massage" nozzle is staying stationary, not moving up and down at all any more. I am not bothering to call to have it fixed after my last experience with dealer repair. Other than that, I am using the tub. It's five years old now, next major thing that goes wrong, the tub will go to the recycler. I consider the purchase price and the number of years used, along with repair costs, make a Solana TX a very poor purchase choice. (I only use the tub maybe 3-4 times a week for 20 minutes max, and it only runs from 3rd week of April to the 1st week of October.)
  8. So the deck is reinforced to handle all the extra weight?
  9. Here's pic of my Solana TX on my 8' x 28' deck tucked in between the house and shed.
  10. I have a Solana TX with the 30 amp service wired to it. It is on it's 5th year of service with the following service done: 3rd year replaced footwell rotary jet, cost-$20.00, owner performed; 5th year cracked air jet control valve, cost-not in yet, done by dealer service; leak in line to Moto-Massage Unit, cost-not in yet, done by dealer service. Overall, I am extremely happy with the tub. It only uses about 130 gallons of water, and very few chemicals. I am in Maine so only run it between April and October. It is on a wooden deck, specifically reinforced under the tub area to carry the weight. And lastly it is in an area only 8' by 8', (three sides) and has plenty of room around it to slide off the cover, and perform routine cleaning and service.
  11. We had a licensed electrician come and install a sub-panel too for our Solana. But we did not tell the city, so did not get a permit. Everything has worked (electrically) for over 4 years with no issues.
  12. Don't use bleach, try a little "Resolve" first, take the cover off,, spray the stain, let the Resolve do it's thing, rinse thoroughly.
  13. Iknow the feeling. good luck Update: They are coming tomorrow to check out and presumably replace the jet control valve. Update 6-27-07: The jet control valve was replaced again, this is the third one, I hope it last longer than a week. Thanks for listening. Good Luck. please keep us posted and happy 4th of july Thanks 104, same to you and yours.

  15. Up here in Maine, it is a no-no to expose the bare pool liner to the sun for any length of time. Most pool peeps up here also recommend just draining the water to about 8-10" below any wall penetration for the winter, to help support the walls against snow/water load on top of the pool cover.
