  1. did not specify if it was just the aria or not she just said the 2010 models.. now that the weather is a little warmer has been fine its when it gets below 20 degrees the problem occurs, and i will try dropping the setting. well will be 2 weeks friday and still no part. thanks
  2. noticed my green light off on tub 1 week ago. checked it and found that while temp was set for 101 degress it was 104degrees, called hot springs who stated that they just became aware that the new 2010 models are having a problem with heat sensor in cold weather (like we have in the adirondacks). solution is a sock to cover the sensor. Said they would send part out to my dealer on moday. Asked if they would send overnight mail but guess they wouldn't as still not received by dealer. Hope it arrives soon as i dont like the idea of paying for any more elec. than needed, plus to warm for my family to enjoy. Anyhow just thought i would mention this in case any one else is having similar problem.
  3. Hi we searched for about a year and finally decided on the aria. It got confusing because for about the same money i could have purchased the vista or grandee but glad we didnt. We have had 4 in the tub and it is tight but still enjoyable, however most of the time it is just me or myself and daughter. The jets are awesome, fits nicely on my patio which does have a pitch to it. However this model can be shimmed and was no problem at all for the delivery guys. seems so far to be very efficient month of oct maybe was 18.00 more than usual. and that is being used twice a day for 30 minutes or so. So unless you plan to have a lot of friends ,family etc where you really need a larger tub i think its great.
  4. So is this system similar to the hot springs ace system? We are ready to make a purchase but just not sure if the new ace system is worth it or should we wait a year untill they get the bugs worked out. Dealer says it can be addded any time for about $1000.00. Thanks for your advice.
  5. Another concern is that when i looked at the cabinet looked like the hot spring does not have the vents like the sundance does. They (HS) said they direct the heat from motors etc back into the water therfore saving energy, also the hot spring cabinet looks much tighter etc.. So is there any truth to this. also i was told that the insulation in the HS is same insulation they use in freezers, high density foam which Sundance does not use. all feedback is appreciated. thanks
  6. checked out a cameo last week. dry testing i liked the lounge much better than the vista and dealer says you wont float out of their design. he also said there filteration system is better (down to 3 compared to HS 60) than hot springs and that also jets will be stronger as it does not go through the filters (guess they have some by pass compared to hot spring NO bypass) and that the monthly cost of operation would be lower than hot springs. So any opinions suggestions welcomed. thanks
  7. ok thanks so that is a big help as far as the cost of chemicals go. So what is the deal with the ACE system is it a better way to go? as 1 site i checked said that the salt is very damaging to the tub ,parts etc. thanks
  8. well confused again, was ready to purchase a aria i had looked at when the salesman said it was sold. Than went on to explain that i would be much better off to purchase a new one that now has ace salt treatment system. Said it would save me $800.00 a yr in chemicals. Well prior to this conversation he had said total monthly expense between elec and chemicals would be 35-45.00 a month. So math does not add up. Anyhow does anyone have any actuall experience with this new system? and is it worth it? as all new to me. thanks
  9. have not yet had a chance to wet test the grandee but hope to soon also testing a sundance optima. i do like the aria, but just feel if i can get a much larger tub at no extra expense why not.
  10. Hi am am a newbie researching tubs. iterested in hot springs aria but can buy a grandee for nearly the same money. I felt that the aria at 365 gallons would be much less costly to maintain, chemicals, electricity etc, compared to 500 gallon grandee. however dealer stated that there would not be a noticeable difference as more water volume dissapates contaminants quicker, and easier , and overall the grandee would be much better value. Any input will be appreciated. thank you.
