  1. Thanks Richard... I thought I Had to go back to Pool School
  2. I don't think there is a way to lower or raise without affecting each other....But this reading here is sure to work. I have done it plenty of Times.. It's not a overnight fix, but it will work Can't seem to get that link to work I hope it works now..

  4. In my humbled opinion, I would leave the TA right where it is..90 gives you a lil room to play with. Check your chlorine, and dose it accordingly.. I'm a strong believer the less stuff you but in your pool, the better, I think in some cases Floc is a option, I just don't think it addresses the real problem.... A lot of Times a got dose of POP is all it takes......Oh yeah , that's Pool Owner Patience.. And just In case I have not mention it, weekly brushing is a must... Happy Swimming
  5. Give it at least 2 hours to mix with your Water, then retest to see where you at, you don't want to overshoot your target. It's easier to bring it up, then back down.. After you got where you want it check your PH, and make the adjustment
  6. Just to answer your question , if Algae can grow that fast? In my second year, my pool went from crystal clear, to pretty green in a matter of 30min.So yes, Algae can grow that fast..My numbers where perfect, no cc in weeks.. I'm a female and I do all the repairs on the Equipment, getting the sand out is probably the hardest part...But like ps558 said if you have a wet/dry vac, it's a easy breeze Good Luck
  7. Boy ,that's a Duff one but see if this is helping you out Leak Detection Luckily I never had to go beyond the dye test, it saved me twice... Good Luck
  8. With a CYA of 30 your target FC is 4ppm, right now you at high risk of having another Algae outbreak. The Ideal range of TA is 70-100ppm, I would bring it up a tat, but remember your PH will move with it, so adjust that first before you add anything to bring your PH up.. It can take up to a week to filter the dead algae out , I suspect that's where your cloudiness comes from...Last but not least get your a good drop based test kit, like the Taylor K- 2006 or this one Here
  9. I would check the equipment, then scoop out as much as you can.... Then hit the store to get some unscented regular ole Bleach and get the chlorine up to the recommended shock level... Read this nice peace http://www.troublefreepool.com/category/pool-school/ and you should have no trouble to turn this Pool around.. I'm not sure about the cooper, so I really can't help you there Good Luck
  10. You can find some really good Info on SWG's here http://www.troublefreepool.com/saltwater-c...rators-f21.html
  11. In my humbled opinion, keep chlorine in and stir it up, and hope it does not turn green on you. The way you describe your Vacuum procedure, that's exactly the way I do it, so far so good , I did not had any problems with my pump motor...
  12. You have to get some chlorine in there ASAP!!!! More then likely, you got the algae because of low chlorine Here is good read on how to maintain a pool http://www.troublefreepool.com/category/pool-school/
  13. It could be that they are correct, but I would not count on it, your best bet is to take matters in your own hands, and get a good drop based Test Kit How does your Water look?
  14. Ditto, bold headed man never let's me down
