Scottjf
Hi everyone, I am new to owning a hot tub as my fiancée and I just purchased a used one. However, I have already made a rookie mistake and did not realize I needed a building permit on top of the electrical permit. The hot tub comes next week, and I am stuck waiting 4 more weeks before I can actually hook it up. Here is where my questions begin. Weather is good as I live in Alberta Canada and it will not be extremely hot or below freezing. What is my best option here to keep the tub safe. Should I store it with the Lid on with or without water? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
SpaSage
(I am assuming that you mean just for the next four weeks...) You need to keep the lid on it, the sun can damage the shell. Don't put water in it until you are ready to turn it on. The water needs to be filtering and be balanced to stay clean and safe... otherwise you'll get water mold and bacteria can grow.
