Considering A Jacuzzi Brand

I am considering buying a Jacuzzi.. And while I know its brand name is synonymous with hot tubs, my question is really about its engineering and reliability. I had a Phoenix before and they are out of business. I also am confused about the merits and demerits of full foam vs a dead air space in the frame. I am not going to visit umpteen places and here every salesmen tout all the differences. It is worse than buying a mattress!! So just some substantive and engineering oriented replies please. Jacuzzi is absolutely a well made, reputable brand of spa. Most would consider it in upper echelon of manufacturers, among others.

As to the full foam vs. dead air space, both methods done properly will work well. I would not let this be a deciding factor in your purchase decision. I would instead focus on finding a reputable manufacturer. For instances, Arctic and Clearwater do the thermal pane insulation method properly and are energy efficient. That doesn't mean that they are any better than Hot Spring or Bullfrog, who do full foam. The Hot Spring and Bullfrog are probably more energy efficient, but not by a huge margin or anything.

There is a lot of sales b.s. in this industry and it's hard to sort through it all. Make sure you pick a reputable brand from a reputable dealer and do a wet test.
