  1. I bought a new main board, before installing it I feel I need to replace whatever is causing the board to crash, can anyone take a stab at this?
  2. I am on my 3rd main board for my Prodigy Hot Tub, it happens every time we unplug the hot tub to drain, clean and refill. As soon as we plug the hot tub back in we get the Green and Red lights blinking and she doesn't heat up but still circulates. Yesterday is the third time, the power went out from a storm and when she kicked back in the lights were blinking on the hot tub again. I unplugged it for a few minutes and plugged her back in and still blinking lights. We enjoy it between refills but not enjoying the expense of these boards. Any ideas on whats causing this?

  4. Unfortunately I have good contact, when I take the board out will I see a fried circuit on the rear?
  5. Ok I have the Alligator on the two pins pretty snug and the harness to the switch is disconnected, still both lights blinking
  6. There are two pins and it fits on there pretty snug
  7. Both lights are still flashing with the alligator clip on the pins
  8. I checked voltage at the pins for the pressure switch on the PCB, the left pin reads 43 volts and the right pin reads 29 volts. I don't see any damage to the cables that run from the PCB to the pressure switch on the heater. I hear the switch click when I turn on the hot tub.
  9. Since the pressure switch is part of the heater component should I have left the cable connected to the pins when I jumped it?
  10. I disconnected the pressure switch cable that runs to the PCB, I turned on the hot tub, once the circulation pump kicked in I placed an alligator clip over the two pins for the pressure switch and the heater light did not come on on the PCB. So that tells me the pressure switch is not the fault??
  11. This is an awesome site, lots of great technical tips. Sure wish someone with Hot Springs experience would assist me with diagnosing my heater issue....
  12. OK, I'd like to learn how to test the circuit board before draining the tub again and removing/cleaning the circulation pump as well as the screen at bottom of the tub. I have experience in this arena but not for this problem so I need some guidance....
  13. My Prodigy has been working flawlessly until I recently drained and refilled as I normally do every 3 -6 months. When I switched the power back on 45 seconds or so later both lights start blinking and shuts down the heater. I read about these hot tub circulating pumps experiencing airlock so I pulled the hose off and let her flow for awhile and then reattached the hose and still the same problem? When I turn the hot tub on the pump kicks in and I get bubbles from the drain below and I get a continual ripple in the water indicating the circulating pump is working, I also have a smaller hose that splits off the pump hose and shoots water into the filter compartment and that has steady stream. Can someone give me a tip on where I should look next to solve this problem?
