Loosemoose
Hi all, we purchased a Hot Spring Grandee that was delivered new in October of 2013 and we love the tub. However we have had a few problems that I wont mention the details but will say the factory and our dealer have been great working with us to resolve the issues. In the end we are getting a new tub under warranty and could not be happier with this resolution. I have been in to the dealer and looked at the NXT Grandee and it looks really sweet. My dealer says for me to upgrade to the NXT it will cost me $2000 extra for the upgrade. I really like the idea of the composite frame and bottom but don't see that and the addition of corner lights being worth an extra $2000. Can anyone please advise me if there's any other differences in the regular Grandee and the Grandee NXT and if you think its worth the extra money for the upgrade. Thanks in advance for any advice. Dr. Spa
hmmmmm, my understanding is the price difference between a NXT and non-NXT is only about $300 (not sure if this is the retail or wholesale cost).
PreservedSwine
Not even close Dr. These are what me and my team refer to as, "Management decisions." And whoever is signing the check is the manager. Is it, "worth it?" Up to you! It's great to hear that both the dealer and Hot Springs are behind the product, and are stepping up and doing the right thing. It's what I've seen as well

I read at another site that its a $300 upgrade as well. It seems to me it would be more than that so maybe the $300 is dealer cost?

My wife and I both love our Grandee so its a pretty easy decision to not spend the extra $2000 for the NXT. I was really hoping someone would point out some big difference other than the looks. In the other place I read about the NXT being a $300 upgrade the post was quoted by a hot spring dealer and he didn't dispute the price. He only talked about customers loving the looks and selling quite a few of them.
Loosemoose
I want to update all on whats happening with our tub issue. We decided even though we love the NXT we just didn't want to spend the extra money for the upgrade. I called yesterday and talked to the owner( the person showing me how nice the NXT is) and told her I loved the NXT but the $2000 upgrade is more than we could spend and we would just be satisfied if they would order the warranty tub in the standard Grandee with the colors we wanted. Today I get a call from her service man (the guy that told me the NXT would cost us the extra $2000) and he wanted to confirm the colors before he ordered the tub. he asked me if I was interested in the NXT still. I said that we love the NXT but could not justify the extra money. He said that they were going to order the NXT for us at no extra charge for being so patient with them while we worked through the troubles we have had with the original tub. My chin must have hit the floor! I cant say how much Hot Spring and my dealer have stepped up to the plate and have stood behind the product they are selling. Our tub was not cheap and we have had a problem with it that cant be resolved with the current tub. I can say without a doubt we got our moneys worth and we have been doing business with two outstanding companies. Thank you Hot Spring for standing behind your products and making things right. I will always steer people to your products first. Thank you to Pool Patio and Spas in Ft. Wayne Indiana for treating us like we are your only customer even after the sale. Thank you for stepping up to the plate and going above and beyond for us. We will be adding some accessories to this new tub as a sincere thank you from Mrs Loosemoose and myself. Loopcity
Great story to hear. There are a few companies out there that this could easily be a nightmare with. I'm glad it's working out for you.
