  1. Like many others, I have had to deal with faulty capacitors on my 2006 Sundance Altamar 880 Series. In the cold months, if I lose power, I have to use the hairdryer trick to get it started again. The economical fix is to replace the capacitors, but I can't find the right specs to replace them with. Can anyone help me with the right capacitor? Here is what is written on the capacitor (from what I can see): GL 105º C P548 Vent The Circuit Board is 6600-098 Rev. D The EPROM is Rev 9.51A Any help would be appreciated. Here are three pictures of the capacitors and the board: https://www.dropbox.com/s/8zsi0ufbiy0w9vp/IMG_2161.jpg https://www.dropbox.com/s/k3bin7t4iezck7u/IMG_2162.JPG https://www.dropbox.com/s/fnn9la0fjtl0e9o/IMG_2160.jpg https://www.dropbox.com/s/j8lh5odt7ouxbfj/IMG_2159.jpg ***Update*** - I found it. 3300uf 25V CapXon is what was on it (hidden on the inside of both capacitors, so it was hard to see).
  2. Barney-T, How did you determine the correct capacitors to use as replacements. I'm getting tired of the hairdryer trick! I took some pics of the capacitors, but it doesn't appear there are specs on them. I have a 2006 Sundance Altamar 880. Any guidance would be great. All I can get from the capacitors is "GL 105º C P548 Vent". My board is a 6600-098 and EPROM is Rev 9.51A. ***Update*** - I found it. 3300uf 25V CapXon is what was on it (hidden on the inside of both capacitors, so it was hard to see). Thanks! NCBoilermaker
  3. Thanks for the reply! Scott, I'm not sure I understand all of your questions, but: 1. Plenty of stone was delivered. In fact, they had to come back and remove close to a full pallet when they were done. 2. They did lay it out all first. I wasn't here to watch the whole thing, but they did lay it out. I really believe it was not a "trying to save material" thing, but just a general lack of expertise with the actual subs. They had 15 people out trying to lay the stone, did it in a day, and just wasn't very good at all. Jkusmier, thanks for the feedback, I will get someone out to evaluate the coping. Thanks! Damon
  4. Hello, My wife and I are in the middle of a build for a shotcrete pool with some water features and flagstone coping. The entire process was going very well until the process of the flagstone coping started. To start it off, they delivered the wrong color flagstone. Outside of adding a two week delay to our build, there wasn't a huge issue with this. However, once the correct stone was delivered, and now installed, we have some serious questions with the quality of the work. Some of the things that we question are: *The width of many of the joints. We have three inches between in many joints. *The overhang of the flagstone into the pool. This varies from 1 inch to 2.5 inches. *The color of the grout in a couple of places (they tried to fix some mistakes by cutting out stones, adding new, but the grout color is different. *A few pieces that are much thinner, causing the uneven edge of coping while looking in the pool. *Areas (just a few) that are not level (big hump on coping). *A couple of areas they tried to fix where they cut out a portion of a stone, just leaving a tiny section. *Where they cut the pool edge where the concrete is going to go, it is not even close to being a straight line. In general, just not good workmanship. The pool builder we are using has a great reputation and history in our area. They have even commented that "we have some customers holding out our last payment because they aren't happy with the new stone guy". We have looked at other pools this builder has done, and a few others in our development with flagstone coping, and none of them have these issues. We are meeting the pool builder in the morning, and are going to go over everything. I wanted to get some input and advice on some of the items I list above. Below are some pictures of the workmanship in question. I would love some commentary on how it looks. Again, outside of this, we are happy with our PB and our build, but this has us extremely frustrated. Especially since the GC has not been very present at all, and we feel like this could have been avoided. Thanks for any feedback. Here is a link to a flickr gallery with some pictures.
