  1. Hi All - I am stressing over a liner pattern to replace my current liner and one pattern I am considering is the Mountaintop Mosaic. See the following link http://www.pacificpools.com/vinyl-liners/core-patterns/ I am concerned that the blue mosaic tile bottom may be too busy and overpowering in a 20 x 40 free form pool. Has anyone used this or a similar pattern that can share thoughts, but most importantly, does anyone have any pictures. I would also be interested in seeing real blue tile bottom. I spent a great deal of time searching the internet for pictures to no avail and neither the installer or the liner manufacturer have photos. Thanks.
  2. Hi Folks - I know there has been some discussion on recommendations for types of SWCG, but I thought a simple poll would provide a good snapshot on the issue and hopefully garner a higher rate of participation. Please take the time to provide your input and be specific with make and model. If you would not buy that unit again, a reason would be very helpful. Thanks for your anticipated cooperation.
  3. We need to replace the liner in our approx. 20 x 40' free form Foxx Pool in Westchester County, NY. Have gotten four quotes. Two in the $4,500 range and two in the $7,500 range !! Pool is a sports pool with deep and shallow ends on both sides. Deepest point is 5 1/2 feet from corner to corner for lap swimming. Anyway, want to make a decision this week. Can anyone offer up positive/negative experiences with Pool companies that would service my area for liner replacement. FYI- the four companies which gave me quotes are: (1) Orange County Pools; (2) Different Strokes Pools; (3) Rainbow Pools; and (4) Najame & Son Pools. Thanks as always for your input.
  4. Thanks waterbear and slip23us. I have a friend who has the Pool Pilot and is very happy with it. It is one I am considering. Do you have an understanding on the typical cycle for cell replacement ?
  5. Hi All - I would like to install a salt chlorine generator in my 22'x 40' 25,000 gal. vinyl lined pool located in Westchester Cty., NY. I would greatly appreciate input (pro and con) as to which make/model people prefer and why. Thanks as always for your assistance.
  6. Thanks. I had someone out this weekend to give me an estimate and have since gotten another recommendation from a friend, but will call these guys as well for a quote.
  7. I am looking to replace the liner in my pool. Pool is free form in shape approx. 35 feet by 25 at its widest dimensions. Depth is only 5 1/2 feet at its deepest and 3 in the shallow. I am in Northern Westchester County, NY. Can anybody give me a cost range for replacement (materials and labor) and if possible, a recommendation for a company in my area. Any other advice would certainly be appreciated. I assume water replacement is an extra cost. My "pool guy" who does openings/closinbgs, etc. does not do liners. He gave me two companies he has heard some good things about, but havent yet called them. They are: Brewster Pools, nc. (Water&Woodpools.com) and Water World in Poughkeepsie, NY - which I cant seem to find online. Thanks.
