  1. I live in San Diego; my pool is a mess from the fires. It is completely coated and black from the ash. How do I clean? Can I run the filter to clean it? (I turned filter off.) Any advice appreciated.
  2. I had the exact same problem. Tried the snake; no luck. Tried the hose method; no luck. Called my pool maintanence company - they did a shot of hydrogen into the line at the filter end; blew a rat out of the line and that took care of the problem. (Cost $25.00)
  3. The D1 adjustable pillows w/jets works OK, but frankly it feels just as good without these; I wouldn't spend the extra money again. We pay about $12/month to keep D1 temp at about 100 degrees (220 VAC, San Diego).
  4. I have owned both and prefer the Baracuda. Not as finicky as Kreepy Krauler and easier to take apart and/or adjust when needed.
  5. Swimfan. Over 20 years experience as a consumer (homeowner and owner of new and used spas, hottubs, new pool, pool remodel.) I have dealt with factories, dealers, contractors, forum experts, lovers and lawyers, and have been abused by the best of them! Can't wait to get home to my Jacuzzi bathtub.
  6. D1 without question. (I am a user, not a dealer. Have had experience with D1 and Coleman.)
  7. This is the only review I've seen on them: Stay Away from QCA by racinref,Dec 09 '04 Pros: Originally a fair price. (But not in the long run!) Cons: Terrible customer service, and poor quality product. I have had to replace 2 jets, an o-ring, a pump, and 2 heaters already. But the kicker is when I needed a 2nd replacement heater in 18 months on my QCA spa, I called the local dealer. They were not providing any service or even calling me back, so I called QCA who agreed to step in and take care of the problem. After they offered to replace it under warranty, and I did all the work replacing the heater, they charged an unauthorized amount for the heater to my credit card, and changed their story saying the heater was not warranted after all. While I enjoy having a spa very much, next time I will do my homework and get a good one with a better company behind it. I would never recommend QCA to anyone. You have been warned.
