  1. If you are looking at a used spa make sure it is running and up to temp or walk away.WET TEST any new spa that you like.Sales guys will tel you anything to sell you a spa.Non-circ or circ pump is always a debate here,i like them and have a JACUZZI myself.Read all that you can on any spa that you like. did i mention WET TEST.ensure the dealer you buy from has a service department, ask around check them out.think twice before you buy from a traveling spa show and don't sign anything under pressure, wait a day or two ..good luck and keep us posted on you venture
  2. did they ever do something to stop the water from behind these jet packs from going skankie from lack of circulation?
  3. with the power off open up the silver box in the bottom right side you will find were the heater leads go out of the box follow those to the PCB and pull the off then go turn the power back on if the breaker trips then its not the heater(mark down on a piece of paper what wire came from what connection keep doing this( turning the power off each time ) for each component on the spa soon all the will be left is the circ pump and sensors and board itself if it comes down to that phone a tech or come back here and tell us what you find and someone will help from their good luck

  7. who cares why the re closed just take his clients away by being their to help them you will got a good client for life Many of the parts on Arctics are proprietary, and the customers are likely looking for warranty assistance, not to spend money. I have access to rising dragon jets the threaded and snap in and to gecko m class spa controlers anything esle is most likly waterways and i have a book for those parts as well. unless they want origanal parts all arctic parts are out thier and avalable

  9. small filter with a "sock" above it ? humm sounds like a rip off from the JACUZZI J-400 line.looks like the wannabe's are still following a leader, would be nice to see some one come up with a original idea and not copy someone else's hard work and efforts
  10. Do your humidity levels drop below 60% when the tub isn't in use? Anything higher and I believe you start the risk of growing mold. In the summer my dehumidifier runs a lot to keep it below 60% but it does get very humid here. I don't think opening my basement windows would help much because it would be either to cold outside or to humid for it to make a difference. Still I'm uncertain because some say tubs leak a lot of moisture when covered and require a specially designed room. When we stayed at a sybaris the entire room was fogged up but after turning on the dehumidifier it made short work of it. If I buy a softub and find that my basement can't handle the humidity then I have to move it outside and I don't think it would work well in our winters. When I look at tubs trying to find something that works well on a budget the price just keeps going up. Its like if your looking at this then you might as well spend a little extra and get this and so on. I've seen some of the dreammakers and they look ok. I find a lot of iffy reviews about them and as I mentioned before seems it will be cheaper in the long run on electricity and maintenance if I get a better tub . The hot spot tx (by hot springs) seems to be the entry level for a real quality tub. I was quoted 3800 for one last year and can't find anything much cheaper from a quality manufacturer. Even some of the brands you listed start around 3k. I'm guessing once everything is done with a deck this project will set me back around 5k. I was really hoping for a cheaper option to see if this is a temporary thing for us. I might try to find a softub store this weekend so I can see one in person. thanks for the replies! carport not fully closed in so dont have and issue there also have a buddy who does some sort of energy audit thing and had him come over and check this out because of moister fears and he said no problem as long as we keep the fans running
  11. we have a JACUZZI and we run it in the garage with fans in the windows to vent the moist air seems to work fine a long with the sauna
  12. you can also use a shop vac and vac out the water from the jets and then blow out more water. open up the pump and heater lines and and do the same.when you get ready to start it up again you will need to replace the gaskets and o-rings and spin the pumps a couple of times by hand to make sure they are going to turn when you power it back up
  13. do you have an ozone on the spa? follow the heater return line and look for a gray plastic tube inline that is a ozone mixing chamber and some times these thing get clogged and restrict the flow and will give you greif post some pictures they will help getting to the cause of this issue good luck
  14. try the Jacuzzi line mostly the J-315 or the J-325 or wait till mid February till the the new smaller J-400's come out ask a dealer to bring you up on what is cumming
