Our Caldera Spa isn't working after getting hit by a power surge. My husband checked the circuit board and fuses, and the fuses are fine but the spa still isn't working. We see a red light on the circuit board now. He is ordering a new circuit board. Does it seem that it is a circuit board problem? We recently put in a new circuit board and two new pumps. I hope it's not the pumps. Help!

Last week our power was surging on and off for at least an hour. We didn't even think about the hot tub at that time. Later that day I went out to check the hot tub and there were dashes across the display panel so we reset the hot tub and thought it was ok. It first part of the filter pump isn't staying on in the low speed. Now the hot tub isn't even turning on. The weather is getting colder again this week and we are afraid of it freezing. Help!! We have a service man coming on Tuesday but wish we could get it back up and running correctly tomorrow. We have two new pumps and a circuit board that was just put in in august.

For The Caldera Spa How Do We Set It Manually.

How do we manually turn the filter on? -
The floater sometimes does get stuck... So you never know what may happen.

Thank you Steve from Caldera Spas for your input. We are currently using bromine tablets in a floater. I just took the floater out of the spa. You mentioned that the tablets can damage the shell of the spa. We will be switching to chlorine granuals. We will broadcast it into the spa. The spa should be running when we do this, is this correct? We will drain the spa when we do this. I wish the spa place where we bought the tablets told us this before we purchased them!! Also the chlorine is much more affordable than the bromine. Any other suggestions ?

The dealer that the spa came from in Luzerne are useless. They don't know anything when you ask them questions. They are horrible.

Hey Steve, we need a service call. It's not running. The motor is just moving the water very very slow now. We need a good service person to fix it. We got two calls out to two different service techs. Now we wait...

Ok we will try that!

How can we know if its the heat element?

It's hooked up correctly. Our electrician told my husband how to hook it up. It's still popping.

We purchased a C45 caldera spa which is used. My husband ran all the electrical. We have the breaker box which is new. The gfci is popping on this box. The breaker in the house is fine. Not popping. We thought it was a bad breaker so we went back to Home Depot and got another breaker. He put the new breaker in and it is doing the same thing. We are having the electrician come out and check the spa later today. I hear that each motor should be checked separately, as well as the heater and other parts to try to figure out what may be wrong. The spa runs for a few minutes then the breaker pops. We had just a few jets on at first and it popped then we tried again with all the jets on and still the same problem. When we first went to look at the spa the seller turned on just a few jets. My husband said that the seller didn't have a gfci hooked into the spa and just ran it to his home breaker box. Any ideas??

Looking At A 2010 Caldera Spa
Rosanna Eso replied to Rosanna Eso's topic in Portable Hot Tubs & Spas
The 2010 is a C45. We took a ride to the spa dealer and talked to the salesperson. They have brand new ones for $5700.00 delivered. She said not to offer more than $3000 for the used one and mentioned that after 5 years the cover should be replaced. We aren't sure what to do. Buy a new one with the warranties or offer $3000 or less for the used one.
