  1. 2003 Marquis Hot tub, not sure the model. Really dont understand what it is, the pipe that goes up, is capped with a little rubber air line coming off it, the 3/4 in pipe that came through it went into the pipe on the left, the 3/4 in line went in to the 2in pipe on the left, no cap on the 3/4 in line but the 2in pipe was capped, not sure the point of that, and the 2in pipe that went down goes into a 90 degree bend and is reduced down to a 3/4 in line. I cant find any reason for this to part of the water plumbing, but maybe something for the air system...but seems to fill with water, even when the tub had been drained for months theres was still water in these lines, which caused the thing to burst this winter.

  3. What is this? the pipe on the left has a pipe inside it, the pipe going up just looks like it goes to the top of the tub, the pipe on the bottom goes down to a 90 bend and goes into a 3/4 flex pipe https://drive.google.com/file/d/0BwFpO5iJA8coNDdmOThJQlEyMW1JTDFXd1I4VHlDOGxyMm8w/edit?usp=sharing https://drive.google.com/file/d/0BwFpO5iJA8codDBacUQ2VzhybG43OE1ZM0RCd2NTaExXM0Fn/edit?usp=sharing https://drive.google.com/file/d/0BwFpO5iJA8cobW53S01XM1VkSGNTLTJILXB0NTRMSkE3c0Mw/edit?usp=sharing https://drive.google.com/file/d/0BwFpO5iJA8coLVN3c0xodEFHdWdEVnBKT3JVYVk0Rm5IWnpF/edit?usp=sharing
  4. i think I finally figured it out......the low and high speed wires on the pump were crossed, so when it did its hour filter cycle at night it was running on high and the heat caused buy this was overheating the water....switched the wires and all is mostly good......starting to get sns error codes randoly on it......u think the 15.3 and 15.7 is enough of a difference to through that error message?
  5. Hello everyone. My 2002 Marquis Hot Tub is overheating always displaing a temp around 106 to 109. I have it set at 80 degrees, Also changed it to Economy mode. There is no 25/7 circ pump. The resistance across the the two temp sencors is 15.3k and 15.7k which is close to the correct reading. What would be causing this??? It started at about 3 months ago, I live in the Midwest and have had average temps from 50 to 70 degrees outside, This was not a a problem last summer, only thing that has changed is I purchased a new cover. Any thoughts or anything else I can check. It has Balboa controls. Thanks Kube
  6. Kinda looked at the stuff intially.....there is no 24/7 circ pump......filter cycle is set to once a day for 45 minutes...smart cycle it turned off.....I'm from South Dakota and it sub zero outside and this thing is set at 101 and the display shows 107 and the heater light is still on and its still heating teh water? why would that be? seemed to start around the time I put a new cover on the thing..and the sencors are in the heat assembly
  7. Hi Guys, I have a 2002 Marquis Hot tub. What ever i set the hot tub at, say 90 degrees, I will go out crack it open and it will be 97 degrees showing on the control panel. It seems to always be about 5 to 8 degrees hotter than what I set the control at. ANy thoughts? Need to replace both temp sencors? Thanks Kube
  8. I can say I use to have all sorts of troubles with water quality, lots of foam, scum, strong chmical odor. I was asdvised by the spa dealer that they just bromine tabs and to shock with bromine concentrate. I drained and did the three step process that Waterbearer recommended and have never had any issues since.
  9. Having troubles getting them to turn at all. Used a pair of needle nose pliars on the tabs trying to turn them but they wouldn't move. Guess it time to get a flat head or punch and hammer and see if I can getthem toturn at all
  10. You are the man....I had just figured out that the tab was what held it in place....next question I have some of the 5in "American Products Cyclone Jets" you can see a pic of them at this site.. http://discountspaparts.com/asccustompages/products.asp?cartID=&affID=&categoryid=446&navParent=202 I need to replace the swirl jets as they dont work any more but I cant figure out how to get them out...they dont have the tab like the others ones.....any thoughts
  11. Hmmmmmmm never seen a jet like that? I wonder if that was even spose to come apart from the bodie? Someone help this guy so I don't have to start digging into the bone yard to find that style!!! What kind of tub is it? Its off a 2002 marquis reward.
  12. Hey guys I'm trying to replace a jet on my hot tub, the internal jet was stuck to the nut that holds the housing in place so people over time turned the jet on and off the housing was starting to leak.....didnt know that till I got the jet out but it all came out in one piece....so my question is where can I get this part and can just the internal pieces be replaced or am I going to have to replace the whole thing.....any places on the net have these jets.....did I take out the jet and the diffuser? Is this thing suppose to seperate into other parts?
  13. Got a question here......I just purchase a new cover for my tub. I noticed that there are some small holes in the plastic wrapped core near the zipper....The manufacturer says that this is normal....I've been researching some other sites and am noticing that they dont claim 100% more to the note of 99% sealed....Is this normal, the manufacture says that over time small holes form that this is normal and that the plastic wrap core is never 100% sealed. Is this a true statement?
  14. not a pro by any means....but my tub did have a leak...nvr dropped that much in a day, but can tell you that the foam insulation in the cabinet can hold alot of water before it starts to drip onto the ground and run out from underneath....what kind of base is your tub sitting on? if its blocks one might think that the water is just soaking into the ground underneath in the middle somewhere..how long has it been leaking?
  15. I believe they are the same sencor...I measured resistance across the two pins on each and got 47k on one and 49k on the other......do you think that may the problem? Looking at the chart at the following post it looks like that might be just to far off.....also is there a way to put this into a test mode like they speak of here? http://www.poolspaforum.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=19390 It is a Balboa MTS1U
