Top Mount Radio Control

Hi all. I have a catalina quebec 2010 model with top mounted radio controls. The controls worked fine with kenwood radio that was in hot tub.

I decided to replace radio for a pioneer deh-x8500bs for bluetooth reasons. Now top mount radio controls don't work. The tip is different tho as the kenwood had a plug in and pioneer needs a 3.5 plug ?

I didn't see any module as I assume these top controls assume are like a steering wheel control in a car and requires a module. I'll have to remove some panels in morning to look again I'm wondering g if there is a module there it's for a kenwood and I need new one for pioneer and which one lol ?

I've been looking online for a week and nothing. Any help or info how these top mounted radio controls work in relation to radio install.

New pioneer has a jack input for hard wired remote control also a wire with tag that says something like wired remote something or other. I'll have to look again in morning. Maybe I can just hook up to that wire and not the 3.5 plug on radio ? Again ty

Ok no module just one blue wire and a ground and a power. Ground and power are hooked up to co verter. Blue wire must be communication as i see the kenwoid has what looks to be a modified wire coming oit back of radio but pioneer requires a 3.5 mm plug like a headset. Any way around this ?
