ScottN Posted May 25, 2012 Report Share Posted May 25, 2012 Hello, I am new to the forum and new to owning a spa. I received a spa and went through the process of hooking it up. ONce the spa was done it would not run in Low speed on Pump #1 for more than 2 seconds. I spent money on a tech who came out and told me it was my motor. It was pulling 66 amps in low speed. I ordered a new motor and pump(350) and installed it. It is still doing the same thing. I do not know what to do or check to see if it is something else. countspacula Posted May 26, 2012 Report Share Posted May 26, 2012 sounds like it is running in high and low at the same time, 66 amps is huge. there are two wires one for high and one for low, disconnect one of these from your plug, and see if it will run. if it does, then the high and low relays are closed at the same time, bad relay most likely.
