  1. I am purchasing a house and this is the spa they have that is currently drained. Originally I had asked that they remove it and I was going to buy another but they said it works, just needs a new filter and a cover. I've been researching this tub thru this forum and online and not sure what I should do. Supposedly nothing is broken but they are going to clean it and fill it with water, and heat it so I can see but not sure what I'll be able to tell other than the water getting hot and that the jets seem to be working. My question to the experts here are, is it worth it to keep it? How much of it can be replaced if it's broken? Heater, pump, jets? Leaks? What about the cover? I'm looking @ different companies online and can't seem to find actual reviews, although I know I'm supposed to find something with a good "R" value to hold heat in, which I definitely want to do but then there are all kind of "add ons" that the fancier covers seem to have, is that worth it? Sealed hinges, double foam, higher density foam, and many more options and then special lifters that are available. Although it seems that with my model it has bowed edges which means only certain lifters fit/work. It's all very confusing and a lot to figure out, but if I can fix this one as it breaks and/or replace things, that's certainly cheaper than buying a new spa for $7k or more including delivery/installation, etc. Advice? Thank you in advance.
