  1. I have a small gunite inground pool (~10,000 gallons) that is just over 6 months old and recently started leaking. The builder drained the pool and found a bunch of cracks, which they widened and then did some sort of epoxy and metal insert (staple) repair job. It really looked ugly, like big frankenstein stitches going across my new pool. They said that they would match the plaster repair (pebbletec) as close as possible, but that it would be noticeable when the water was still and the light hit it right. They also said that over time it would blend in better with the rest of the pool. The repair was done about 2 weeks ago, and it still looks very ugly and noticeable - I can't imagine this getting much better over time. Does anyone have a sense of how well pebbletec plaster can be matched during a repair? Is it unreasonable to expect the pool to look like pretty close to new, or is that not possible with plaster repairs?
