  1. Hi, I just acquired a Pentair Ultratemp 110. The heat pump will only run if you set the heat pump timer, and will shut down after the time has passed. It is very annoying to have to do that every day. Is there anyway I can set the heat pump to run as long as the set temperature is not reached? No timer involved!!! Thanks Eric
  2. Hi, I own a Oasis brand heat pump, and I need some advice on a part that just broke. I believe it broke due to an ice build-up during this winter. I need to know if the part can be replaced, and how. I put pictures of the damage that will give you a very clear idea of the part to change. Could you please let me know what is the best course to take? Thanks Eric
  3. Hi, I have an in-ground pool with a pool system that seems not right to me. Could you please take a look at the 2 attached schematics, the 1st is the actual installation and the 2nd is an idea of how I could fix. Any suggestions on what to do, and how to improve this piping would be great. Also, do you think I should install a check valve, and where should I install it. 1 - Actual installation schema: https://flic.kr/p/GeST5j 2 - Installation idea: https://flic.kr/p/GkK5mm Sorry for the links to Flickr, I could not figure how to attach jpg to this post. Thanks Eric
  4. Thanks for your answer, it would make sense that the sensors are not working properly, I had this conclusion by step by step problem solving To answer your question on the circulation pump, I believe that it s not a 24h circulation pump as I need to program the filter cycle,. I have to enter these parameters: the start time, duration and frequency. During a filter cycle, pumps run for one minute to purge the plumbing, then Pump 1 runs for the programmed number of hours. Could it mean that I have a lack of circulation due to the nature of the circulation system and maybe the parameters I set? What start time, duration and frequency would you recommend? Do you encourage maximum and most frequent filter cycles? Thanks for your help, it is very appreciated. I already had services of a local "specialist" and it was both expensive and very disappointing. Thanks to you I actually might be able to enjoy the spa while the last leaves are still hanging on Eric
  5. Hi, I have a LX 11000 GCS Spa and I have this recurrent error message that is driving me crazy The RH-NF error message keeps on showing up when it reaches around 96 F I did check for every possible problem without success, there is no air lock for sure and pumps and filters are clean and running fine. I see other user on this forum that experience the same problem but no solution was published. Could you please tell me how to fix this problem? Thanks E.
  6. Hi, I am actually having the same problem. RH-NF error message keeps on showing up when it reaches around 96 F I did check for every possible problem without success. Could you please tell me how you fixed your problem? I have a LX 11000 Gulf Coast Thanks E.
  7. Eric, what part of the country do you live in? If northern climate, then I would leave the tub on, set temp to 60 degrees F, and shortest filtration cycle possible. However, if you experience a power failure and it is below freezing out, you could freeze your tub, which pretty much ruins all piping/pumps, etc. If I were the one leaving for a month, I wouldnt do anything different than normal, leave it up to temp, fill the bromine floater, and forget about it. My tub costs me about $30 a month to run, so partially shutting it down doesnt save much. Hi, I leave in Montreal, Canada I tried to leave it to the minimum temperature 60f, but I still see quite a high energy usage on my electricity bill I can t imagine that a spa does not have a standby mode. The GCS documentation is very poor, I can t seem to find this feature. Thanks for you help It looks like nobody has a GSC Spa I still need help from you guys, I try to find documentation but it just impossible to find Do you know where I could find answers to my questions? Can anybody help me? Thanks Eric

  9. Hi I just moved in a house that has a GCS LX11000 I am completely new to SPA s and I would need some guidance to minimize the energy use when I am not using the SPA for some time What is the best way to keep the SPA barely alive (standby) with water in for a month while I am away? 1 - Can I shut it down and live the water in? or 2 - Is there a "standby" mode that keeps the SPA at it s minimal vital state? or 3 - Is there a best setup to minimize the energy consumption? I see 3 parameters - Start Time - Duration - Frequency What should I put for each of them? I see that Duration and Frequency can be set to 0, is that a good idea? What would it mean? I would greatly appreciate your help My electricity bill is shoking and I suspect that the SPA has a big role to play Thanks Eric
  10. Hi I have a Aqua Rite system that generates chlorine from Salted Water I just did a test and I have a low bromine level in my Pool water. Is it normal? What do I need to do? Does using Aqua Rite system means that I do not need to worry about Bromine Level? On a side note, my Chlorine Level is perfectly fine. Thanks Eric
  11. I would have liked to use your advice, but I already bought 2 bottles of CLR Do you think it would actually damage the spa, pipes, system or any part of the spa? Even though you recommend other products, is CLR still ok? Thanks
  12. Hi I just bought a house that came with a Hot Tub. I am a novice, and as a novice I went to a spa specialist called Club Piscine in Montreal. They recommanded me to do a thorough cleaning of the hot tub (pipes, whole system) with the CLR product. http://www.jelmar.com/CLRbasic.htm It seems to be a very agressive way to clean my hot tub. Should I trust them and do it? Is it ok? Anyone did it? Thanks Eric
