  1. Hi everyone, long time no visit.... I've had two babies since I was last here... anyway, you were a great resource before I hope so again. I was doing the fall clean out of the tub, and while unscrewing the jets, I was shocked to find 100% failure of the small 3" jets .... a small plastic disk in the back of each one had either fallen out, or stuck in the jet. I"ll try to attch some photos. Any ideas? I was asked to switch over all my jets in 2008 to this new screw in kind.... I was shocked 100%? what are the chances?
  2. I used to be in here alot. Sadly not so much these days....just thought I'd leave a shout-out to Tom
  3. I have had my Frontier LE since 2006...you got a great price, I paid about 1G more. I did have the GFI included, some robes, pillows, stairs, a bar and two stools included though.... No hiccups at all... well wait, jets replaced under warranty, pumps replaced under warranty(not my request, it was done by service?)... other than that no troubles... enjoy
  4. The Arctic spa dealer in Halifax is pushing peroxysan... my first try resulted in 3 months of trouble free water....mind you my usage isn't that high, and I was putting in 1/2 litre twice a week.... I missed one of these applications and my water went tits up in 48 hours....stinky and cloudy.... I have since drained and waiting on the refill... we have a baby due soon so I'm not sure if I'll fill right away as there will be probably a 2 week absence during the baby.... if no one does the chemicals the tub will be rotten again.... So here's my questions.... what's the best way to store or park a spa for summer..... and 2)the dealer not only suggested peroxysan but suggested a table spoon of chlorine shock every week....you chemical guys do you see any troubles with this? Thanks chill'n on the coast

  6. Hi all, it's been a while.... I dropped by my dealer today to get some new chemicals.... low and be hold he tells me there isa new product (here in NS any way) called Peroxysan..... Anyone know anything about this..... I said I need to go do some research before jumping into a new treatment. Also on the plus side there is a new filter being made for the Arctic spas..... I had always complained that their old 1 micron ones broke down after a month, I just put one of the new ones in tonight....we'll see how it goes.... it's called "silver sentinel". Hang tough, and keep soaking C
  7. First off...Arctic legend extreme... 3 years in the snow...awesome tub...love it I dropped by my dealer the other day.... nice father and son organization and I asked about the salt generator and a retro-fit for my old(er) tub. Help me out.... the large disk looking system...Ozen I think is the name.... the dealer claimed it not available for a retro fit....but genesis is. What's the difference between the two? Is there one better than the other? What is the reto-fit cost? Thanks Folks....happy tubbing
  8. The guys from service came down and switched out pump 1.... I guess tubs from 06/07 had some troubles with some switch on pump 1..... All good, the guys from Dartmouth came down and it was all done withou8t me even being home ..... love Arctic
  9. I have a 2007 Arctic frontier legend extreme that I love.... I recently changed over all the jets to the new screw in brand... also very nice. My problem is that I have been away all weekend, tonight I was going in for a soak and there was a FLO error.... it seems that pump 1 now only works on the higher speed.... the problem with this is that all filtration and heating is done on the low setting.... when I arrived the temp was down by 3 degrees... a testament to the good top, but a real pain in the A$$ with winter just around the corner....little help?
  10. Bomb shelter?..... it's supposed to support explosions, and bombs going off....surely it can suppoort a hot tub?
  11. Thanks Tom, I knew you'd respond quickly..... I think if the hot tub biz ever gets you down, a career in politics awaits
  12. Hi Tom, and all.... long time no posts. It's been a long winter here in NS. Still tubbing, still loving it... after a year of ownership I think I almost have chemicals figured out (that's a realitive term) Arctic has a great new salt water/ozone system out. I have an 06 Frontier legend extreme, will this new system be costly to retro fit? Will it have to come with a new motherboard? I asked my dealer today and he had the same questions. Next question. I have always used a closed cell 1 micron spa filter (MF-170). I have found that these begin to break down into filter cunks quite quickly...(within the first 2 months.... )do they make a tighter weave micron filter? Is this break down common? last question: I have had to replace two of my jets due to tabs breaking off, the dealer has been great about switching these out... I see there is a new screw in design jet... is there a change over grace period? As I mentioned my tub was a 2006, purchased in 2007, with all the new design changes, I'm afraid my once state of the art tub will be put out to pasture due to obscene conversion prices and new jet design non-compatibility? Any thoughts? Great forum..... awesome for new buyers, and soak lifers Thanks
  13. Thanks for the info Tom. Any idea on a release date? Just did my first empty and refill...... new water sweetness!
