  1. I should add that I live in Northeastern NJ so prices tend to be higher here than in other parts of the country.
  2. I think that sounds like a good price. We bought an Artesian Piper Glen in Oct 2006 and paid 10K (no stereo). Your tub is bigger and it's 2 1/2 years later....sounds fair to me! Enjoy it!
  3. I own a 2006 Artesian Piper Glen and we love it. I have a horrible dealer but the tub is great. So far on this forum and another forum that I frequent, seems like all Artesian owners are happy with their purchase. The dealer is very important......
  4. I'm sorry, I'm not sure. We paid 10K for the Piper Glen (which is Platnium Series) in 2006. We were quoted 8K for the Emerald which was in the Gold Class - the Emerald is the tub that is most like the Piper Glen. We didn't get prices on the Island Series. Sorry I can't help.
  5. That's one of the reasons why we didn't buy a spa with the filter in the corner - it seemed like a waste of a good seat. We bought the Artesian Piper Glen and we LOVE ALL 4 of our corner seats. No one is cramped and everyone always wants a corner seat.
  6. I never heard of Valley Pool & Spas - where are they located? If I were you, I would give Prisco a try - maybe we were just unlucky with the salesguy.....in any event, it turned us off. That was 2 years ago so who knows if that guy is even there anymore! Other than our experience at Prisco, I never heard anything else bad about it. Now that I think of it, I think Vinny's Artesian dealer is Simply Spas in Manalapan (I think that's the name of it and the town it's in...too lazy to look it up). Good luck to you and let me know if you have any questions!
  7. I live in Northern NJ and I haven't come across a good one yet!! I can tell you who to stay away from if that helps....these are probably a little north of you though. Rix Pool & Spa - they sell Marquis in East Hanover (very long story) - there is a post on another site that explains what happened. Nutley Pool & Spa - they sell Artesian & Coleman - we currently have an Artesian Piper Glen and love our tub the dealer just has horrible service and would never recommend anyone going there. Prisco - they sell Hot Springs in Hawthorne - the salesman that we had new nothing about the spa. I wouldn't say to cross them off your list though....could totally depend on which salesperson you get. Sorry I don't know about the ones in Central NJ - I know Vinny who is a member on here bought a tub from someone in Central NJ and he's very happy with his dealer - he also has an Artesian tub.
  8. There are a lot of quality tubs out there. I don't think you can go wrong with any of the following: Sundance, D1, Hot Spring, Jacuzzi, Artesian, Coleman, Arctic, Marquis (I know I missed a few). I live in NJ and bought an Artesian from a dealer in Nutley. I wouldn't recommend the dealer but I would definitely recommend the tub. I think you should look at each of these manufacturers and figure out which tubs are in your price range and then wet test them all to find your favorite. Good luck.
  9. If you are in Bergen County there is one right over the border in Chestnut Ridge, NY....very close to Montvale. I forget the name of it but can find it if you're interested.

  11. What is Great Expectation??? I have an Artesian Piper Glen. We bought it in Oct 2006 and we absolutely love it. It has exceeded our expectations and we haven't had any problems with it. I know that there are a couple of people on this board who have an Artesian in the Island series and I believe that one of them is a Grand Cayman. We researched very thoroughly before buying and consumers and dealers (not Artesian dealers) both ranked Artesian as one of the top tubs. They grouped it with Hot Springs, Marquis, Sundance, D1, etc. Do a search and you will see. That price sounds like a good price to me. I suggest you wet test it if you haven't already done so to make sure it's the tub for you.
  12. We have an Artesian Piper Glen and we don't find it to be louder than any other tub we wet tested. It was actually quieter than a couple of them. We also don't usually run all of the pumps at the same time unless we have company over. We usually run 3 pumps during our normal soaks.
  13. Tiny's right, my Piper Glen heats up at about 7 to 8 degrees an hour.
  14. I'm an Artesian owner (Piper Glen) and we haven't had a problem with our heater in the cold weather. Ours heats up a lot faster than the one at your dealer. We've had it since Oct 2006 and I'm in North Jersey.
  15. Parrothead - I'm glad you gave it a shot! Sorry it wasn't tough enough on your neck! If you really want to get blasted by the jets, turn off the jets on the seat next to it and it makes the jets in the corner seats even more powerful...this is way too powerful for me, but my husband does it from time to time. 13K is crazy....11K is more like it....I think I told you I paid 10K, no stereo last year. I'm glad you gave it a shot.....keep wet testing.....you'll find the right one!!!! Keep us updated!
