Will that pump not be too small? I have completely given up on finding a replacement motor, and the customer service at Cal Spas is TERRIBLE. they won't have any replacement pumps in for 2-3 weeks. I would like to try and get something in the next couple of days. if you think that 1/15 hp pump will work, i will give that a shot. Thanks a lot!

That wet end looks just like the one we have, discharge off center on the top. One main difference i see is that the 230v one is 2HP, the motor that we had was only 1/4hp. Will that cause any problems? Possibly running water through the heater too quickly?

I still havent been able to find a replacement motor so I think i will just get a new pump. What should i be looking for as far as a replacement goes? Are most circulation pumps pretty similar? The one that i have is offset. Thats about all i know. Thanks again for the help

You have to take note if the pipe going to the heater is in the middle or offset. If you can give me the HP rating I might be able to find a AO Smith motor these are not standard motors to find Is there any Ao Smith motor shops near you or retailers No, that isnt the pump that we have. I called emotorstore.com and found out a little more info about the motor. it is a 1/4 hp with a 56Y frame. She said that GE no longer makes that motor and there wasnt a replacement listed and she wasnt able to find an AO replacement either. It is starting to look like i will just have to replace the whole pump

I have a 2001 Cal Spa that the circulation pump motor went out on. I am having all kinds of trouble finding a replacement motor for it. The plate on the motor says that it is a 230V Single Phase Single Speed 1725 RPM 2.9A GE Motor. Can someone please direct me to a place where I can find a similar motor? Everything I have found has a higher RPM and a higher amperage. I don’t know if this would have any ill effects to the system. Thanks a lot for any help you can give
