Autoeng
My "new" spa was someone's "old" spa and they gave me the chemicals they had. They were using chlorine as their sanitizer. I decided to use bromine when I started it again. Chemicals they gave to me are ph Stable, spa clarifier and Brominating Granules. I'm using Bromine tabs and shocking with bleach. Is there any use for the chemicals they gave me in my Bromine spa? Thanks
Autoeng
Dang it. Wrong forum. I meant this to be in Spa Chemistry. Can an Admin move this?
chem geek
You could use any of those chemicals if you wanted to. The brominating granules are like adding bromine to the spa -- they add Dichlor and sodium bromide so the chlorine converts the bromide to bromine and uses up the Dichlor chlorine. pH Stable sounds like it might be a phosphate buffer that can be messy, but shouldn't be any better or worse with bromine than with chlorine.
