fisrt timer
we are going on vacation for a while (2 weeks). How should I prep the spa? Chemicals, cover, temp? Is is it okay to drain it and turn the power off? I have heard that its not a good idea to leave them with the cover on and no water in it. It gets hot here. We just went through a heat wave with multipler 120 degree days in a row. I dont want to have it on but I dont want to hurt the spa.

It may be better to top it off, shock it and let it run on whatever cycles you have set up. Acrylic has a "memory" and if you drain it and the weather is extremely hot you could have sell problems, depending on the brand that you have. Enjoy your vacation. Your spa will be ready for you when you get back.
