  1. It was I that posted about the HS Vanguard. $7199 included the cover, steps, start up chems, delivery and setup which I assume includes hooking up electrical to a preinstalled box. I paid $250 extra for the lifter. After tax, I walked out the door at $7958.44. I'm not sure what silver is, and I didn't get lifetime filters. Are they worth $941.56? This is in a town of 30,000 in Arkansas. Sounds like youu could bring 'em down a bit.
  2. Mod fight!!!!! <-----grabs coke and popcorn, and sits back to watch.
  3. Seems a "heater timing program" would be nice. If they can control filtering on a timer then why not heating as well?
  4. They most certainly should fix the damaged valve box or at least refund the cost to do so. Is the skirt panel replaceable? If so they should replace it or at least refund some money. The coupon was a nice effort but falls way short. There's no reason you should pay for their incompetence and poor service. IF they are the most reputable dealer they should be offering much more then a measly $25. Their reputation is at stake and I bet if you went striaght to the owner you would get better results. But....depending how shady they are they may just try to recoup their offerings to you in increased charges on future sevice calls. As well as you, in my business I did everything possible and sometimes beyond the call to please an upset customer. If this is their initial showing of service, you may want to find another "reputable dealer" for the future. Now on the other hand I always try to think "What Would Jesus Do"...If it would bring glory to God he would turn the other cheek. It's a tough decision... as most are when it comes to man's thinking vs the Godly way...follow your heart is my best advice.
  5. Here's a very rough chicken scratch sketch.
  6. I thought I'd read somewhere that a fully loaded hot tub exerts less force per sq ft then a refridgerator. Is this true?
  7. Are you saying a patio with 1/16" per foot of slope is ok for a spa to sit on? I'm having my patio poured soon and the spa dealer said have it poured level but I know the construction guy is not going to like doing that becuase it's right up against the house.
  8. Admin, Is there anyway to attach pictures without having them hosted elsewhere? Actually a more accurate question is would you consider enabling the option to post attachments or are you afraid the bandwith would be to great?
  9. The patio will be 12' by about 55' or almost 700 sq ft. Just a basic concrete slab, no textures or anything like that. But we will have two pergolas, one at either end. The one by the back door will be covered with corrogated metal and have a ceiling fan in it. This is where my mac daddy Members Mark grill I won in an raffel will go. $1300 grill for $5. The other pergola will have the hot tub in it and we'll let a worsteria (sp?) plant grow up it and create a foilage cover. We are also "enclosing" the back of the patio with an 18" landscape block wall with a cap that will create lots of seating space. The open area between the pergolas will contain a table w/ six chairs under an 11' umbrella, and an outdoor fireplace. The patio and pergolas will cost us just about $7500 and this is in Arkansas.
  10. Well I bought my first spa Friday for a patio that will be built in July. The dealer is holding it for me until it's ready but I'm so anxious I wanna go visit it. Got a Hot Springs Vanguard with delivery, setup, a set of steps, and start up chems for $7200. If that's a good deal please tell me...but if it's not I don't want to know. His list price was $7900 which he came down to $7400 without asking. After asking what the best deal was he offered the $7200 if I bought the one on display right then (I had also asked about ordering one with different colors). I'm feeling like my deal is neither good nor bad but average, which I'm ok with. I also spent another $250 for the cover cradle so the wife can easily open it. Felt a little taken there but oh well. I'm going to enjoy this soooooooo much. <edit> Wow....member #1200...can I get a cookie?
