  1. Latest on the repair of the heater, called them and now the definition was the relay board, said was not getting any (none) amps to heater! So.....Story changes a bit but at least that makes more sense. Nothing in responce to the documentation regarding the cover yet, still trying to get this info.! Have a great day!
  2. Interesting, I kind of thought this too! I would have thought if was drawing amps it would work not just as quick. I have called them asking for an explanation but have yet to hear from them, they are not the best when it comes to service that is for sure. Out of about 15 calls to that service dept I probably received 3 calls back. I also called them and asked them for a documented statement about my cover not being on there for 2 days and possibly having an issue down the road with blistering or flaking. Not in my hands yet as both times I requested it they said they would fax it over to me. I think i will try again and again until i get results. Ubootwo
  3. Hi All, Well just an update on my heating issue. Tech arrived while I was not at home, all was hooked up correctly!!!! The tech left me a service call sheet stating the heater was only drawing 19.5 amps!. He replaced the heater and it drew in @ 25.3 amps, so it looks as i was just a lucky one that had a defaulty heater. All is good now, tub is hot, bubbly and works like a champ, let the party begin folks! Hope no one else has to deal with this type of failure, was not fun having to wait and wonder just what could it be. From what they tell me this should not have happend due to the 100% inspection that they do, but now and then things just happen. I will inform if something else happens later down the line. Just a another tid bit, when they delivered my spa, they had the wrong cover, did not cover the spa and left it sit on in the blistering sun for 2 days! I was pissed to say the least, but they finaly brought my cover out. Then they did not screw in the cover cradle arm on one side and just left it with no screws! so i had to do that, and found out the other side was screwed in but was not to the right location, it was back to far to reach seam area. So any how i was having a bummer of a week with my new spa! just lucky i guess! Thanks for all your help! Good Luck with your Hot Tubs/Spas Ubootwo
  4. Chas, Thanks for your help, What i meant on the Ground wire is, they used 12-3 wire, 2 hots, neutral and a ground, they hooked the ground in on the sub panel block but cut it off at the spa, so there are the 12/3 ground and the #10 ground connected at the sub panel but only the #10 connected at the spa. I will check this third option on the heater wire, i can also tell u on the circuit board a green light is on and a red light that shows up under the green light. these are very small indicator lights, not sure if the red which says heater above it should be green. Any how thank you for your help, i will keep u posted. Ubootwo
  5. Wanted add elect hook up question; From sub panel, 30 amp & 20, is there a differance between L1 & L2, i cant find anything that says which one is which, i thought they told me a hot is a hot, also here is the way things are connected: for the 30 and #wire, hots from 30 to spa got to 1&3, ground from sub panel #10 go to spa ground located on the lower right, next #12 wire, hots out go to 2&4, white neu to #5, pig tails conected from breakers to neu bar and neu from breaker on the #12 run from 20 amp breaker. No neu being used on the 30 amp. (except for piggy), it does look like the ground from the #12 is put in the sub panel ground box but not used at the spa area, would this have any effects, wouldnt think so but who know, have checked this like a thousand times. ubootwo Another note, spa is not in summer mode, we actullay tried several times to put it in summer mode and it would not do! thought maybe somehow it got into this mode but we could not get it to go into that mode, ie holding down on both temps same time for 3 secs, we tried 5 secs, 1 min, it just would not do it, so i can rule this out i think. Chas, do u have a pm i can send u some pics? maybe u can see somethin. ubootwo
