  1. Hey Robin I looked at most of the big spa companies out there, sundance which were crazy priced, Master nice looking unit but the store(s) that sold them had a woefully dreadful sales staff, and made me want to leave because i thought i was talking to Napoleon Dynamite!!!! D1 again nice but nutso priced. I did look at a hydro and to be honest at first glance it was not all that bad. I mean its tough to beat their price. Then after sitting in it, very rigid upright seats, and hearing all the problems, i decided to look elsewhere. Del-Val pools and spas of turnersville had both LA and Hydro. The salesmen there explained how and why LA's are better and to be honest LA had everything the "better" companies had as well. But... I really loved the open design and versatility in the seating arrangement. Example: On the Heet's sister tub the Concord, i went back and forth between the two. I loved the lounger on the Heet but i liked the concord's design of either a seat or lounger depending on how i am feeling. I eventually opted for the lounger model..... I didn't go all out on the jets/ports i took the 2nd option. Now in retrospect, maybe my only complaint is that i would have gone for the gatling gun looking jets in the feet position on the lounger. Also, wait till you clean your filters.....you DON"T ......all you do is just throw em in the wash with alittle bleach and detergeant. let em dry and whala!! If your dealer doesn't include an extra set pick up a set and you'll have zero down time. Finally, the 5 yrs parts and labor warranty with a local in-house factory authorized spa technican sealed the deal for me. Well, that and my HEET only cost me 5895.00 !!!!!!! with...ozone, though not UWM, i wish I got that too but anyway, 2nd jet option, LED light, cover, chem pac, delivery to my backyard in the exact spot and finally a SONY am/fm cd player with remote!!!! I couldn't give them my money fast enough!!!Hahaha They were running a spa sale. Now, the ONLY things I would have differently is: Got more jets on the next size up and Got the UWM thingee, waterfalls would have been cool Hope this helps.
  2. I agree with veronica here. Although, the only spa mentioned above that i hear of from a time to time basis is Master. Nice looking unit a neighbor has, so I wouldn't call him a friend, but in any case the only problem he has had is ....again where he bought the unit from. No in-house service tech to fix what they sell. He has a helluva time getting his spa looked at. The actual unit itself and company seems decent. Though, if they have only been around a few years it would be shaky.
  3. If you want versaltility in price and options go with an LA Spa. Your local dealer should be able to build you one that serves both your hyrotheapy needs and fits in a budget. My local company in south jersey, who also built my pool, made me an incredible deal on the HEET model. I could not believe the price!!!!!! My price was way under your 6500.00 with a SONY Am/FM CD stereo complete with remote, included to BOOT!!!! it was not a closeout. I ordered my color and options I wanted, and thats it. alittle less than 4 weeks later my spa was delivered right to the spot in my backyard. 5 years parts and labor warranty package sealed the deal. So basically, here is what i found out: NEVER EVER EVER buy a spa online. BUY from a dealership that has in-house tech support, better warranty packages usually indicate better spas. and work with a dealer that is both knowledgable and WILLING to work with you on price. LA Spa was the only choice for me. Check em out at their website.
  4. I have to strongly disagree. My experience with del-val was top notch. The other "main builders" in south jersey, including others not mentioned above, made me feel as if I were in a used car dealership. In fact, Niagra's whole presentation was TRASHING del-val with virtually no info on the pool itself. As for the wall debate. Its this easy....steel walls will be in my backyard longer than i could ever possibly want them to be there with no chance of twisting or bending at the seems. My neighbor has a polymer pool wall and when he went to replace a liner they bowed inward. I understand it wasn't the builders fault, but all they could say is that maybe the walls would go back into shape when the water filled up again.......it didn't. Hope this helps. I will gladly email pictures of my del val pool to any that want them. I am quite proud of it.
