  1. I'm not speaking relative to Coast specifically but with an intermittent issue like this my thought would be that you have some type of air check valve/hartford loop/... that is not closing properly (at times) and the water is leaking out through that when you shut the pumps off and get out. The key may be to catch it while its happening so you might want to check it 15-30 minutes after use for awhile to see if water is pooling anywhere. When it does you'll want to note where the water is coming from if possible and open the equipment compartment and look for a culprit. If you don't catch it happening note the level that it drains to because that will tell you the level of the point at which it's exiting and then you'd have to do some detective work that way. hmm...interesting. how do i find such air check valves and hartford loops? the second point about where the water goes out, you mean that it could be going out one of the jets since it is stopping just below the jets? it is about 2-3 inches below the jets though....
  2. new to the forum....i think I am posting in the right forum but my parent's hot tub isn't exactly portable. anyways, i'm at my parent's place for the week and we were getting ready to go in the tub today and opened it up and it was down a foot of water. to the point where the fail safe has been enabled to stop the jets from running. my dad says it happened before about 6 months ago in the winter and he had a tech out here and they couldn't figure out the problem. I've read a couple articles about leaks, I don't think that is what we have because it isn't consistent. Any other ideas? they use the hot tub quite frequently and they don't think there was anything different the nights before the water loss. thanks in advance.
