  1. Could it be the the sides are not straight sides, they are rounded between the 4 kickers. Could that make the liner shorter on the oval ends?? sides look like this: ^^^^ but rounded.
  2. Thanks for the info. There is no alignment I can go by that they put the liner in. i had 8 people help install it today before this torrential downpour we are having so that the sand wouldnt get washed away from the sides. It is ok on the sides but both oval ends are tight. I have about a 3 inch overlap on the ovals and 5-6 on the sides. there has been 2 inches of water in the last 4 hours from the rain. If we get another inch by the morning (which it looks possible) I dont know how to heat that up. I am hoping that if I start water in tomorrow, that I will have about 1 inch overlap on the ovals and 3 on the sides. I just cant keep waiting for this installer to show back up. He wont call back and I am betting on 90 degree weather this friday to help the sides stretch because the bottom is already underwater. Wish I had never bought one now. Thanks again for the info. Sorry thing is, the installer is also the owner of the pool store where I bought the pool. Didnt work. I am 1 foot short on the ends and the left oval end liner overlap shrunk to nothing adjusting for the water level.

  4. Hello everyone. I have a question on liner shrinkage. I just recently had a company install an 18x33 oval and when I started the water in it, one side of the oval, the liner was stretching and they had installed the top track so the overlap couldnt be adjusted. I stopped the water at about 3-4 inches. They took 3 days to come back so I emptied the pool because when I got in, the sand had not been tamped so it was very hard to push wrinkles to see if I could take off the tension. Anyway, when we tried to put the liner back up, it is 1 foot short on the bottom seem at the oval end. One oval end and the sides are fine past the last kicker but I begin to pull the wall over if i try to get it over the oval end. Could this liner have shrinkage already? I have no alignment marks in the liner but for 2 bottom seams that i tried to lineup centered on the 33 ft line from oval to oval. This installation started Jul 1st and I still dont have a pool and they wont seem to come back so I need all your help. I have 8 relatives showing up wed afternoon to try and help me get the liner in. Has it Shrunk? Thanks
