I recently drained my spa for the winter and refilled it. The water was great and the pumps appeared to be working. I got in and discovered the up/down vertebrae pump had stopped working so I pulled the cover and discovered that the air line had become disconnected (while empty?) I reconnected it. I found an o-ring at the bottom and no clue where it came from.
I also noticed that the control head was no longer illuminated but that the controls were initially working.
I pulled the control board housing and noted two LEDS illuminated. LIM OK and Control Unplugged. I assumed that this meant that the control head was unplugged, since it was not illuminated. I had to pry it up and it was water sealed. But I still found water in the compartment below it.
Opening the control head housing I discovered corrosion on the PC board component side.
I am assuming that I have a bad control head??? Is there anything else to check or a possibility?
I am on a fixed income and disabled and this is all I've got. Certainly not top of the line, but all that I've got.
I can handle a DVM and a screwdriver (ham radio operator) but just need to know what to check and then locate a replacement affordably.
Dammit! All I did was try to change the water and clean the tub. LOL.
