  1. Thanks everybody for the help we have done some more testing today & here are the results... power the spa on... motor starts but heater does snot kick in ( we left it for 30 mins ), water temp 17C spa set at 38C Checked all connections all look ok, the PCB board type is Balboa Spaform SF50, I'm not sure what to replace.
  2. we get no error message at all, just the spa in a constant " filter mode " Is the spa getting up to the temperature you have it set to? Yes it was getting up to temp but the blowers cool the water so it is constantly alternating from filtering to heating. Our blowers do not heat the water as they do in most spas. I'll try looking for the manual today, but tried pushing the buttons to see if I can switch mode but nothing happens (and there aren't many combinations with just two buttons!). Beginning to think you can't change the mode of operation. Appreciate your help....

  4. 4 buttons, right? blower, jets [ display ] heat & light? no only 2 jets & temp
  5. we do not know how to change or check mode, in the pas it has cleaned twice a day & heated when necessary, we have looked on the net but cannot find a owners manual
  6. What mode is it in; economy or standard? If your spa isn't heating AND it's in standard mode then it will constantly run because it's trying to get up to temperature. If it is in standard mode then put it in economy mode and see if the pump shuts off. Give it 2 hours for it's filter cycle to run if you've just turned the power back on.

  8. We have a problem with our spa - the filteration has been constantly running. We have a Balboa Lite controller and can't find any instructions to alter the filtration/cleaning cycle. We have turned it off now due to the amount of electricity it was consuming and have no idea how to fix the problem. We have tried turning it on and off and now the power light seems to come on for a few seconds and then go off even though it has not reached temp. We also noticed a whirling noise last time we actually used the spa. Does anyone have any idea where to start with a fix for this please....HELP WE ARE MISSING OUR EVENING TREAT SOOOOO MUCH :-)
