Murlan
Accidentally I added 2 oz. Ultra Clear 5-N-1 to my 500 gal. hot tub, instead of the directed 1/10 of an ounce. What, if any, corrective action should I take? Does this represent a hazard?
chem geek
Are you talking about Nature's Way Ultra Clear 5 in 1 Clarifier? I don't know what is in this product and cannot find an MSDS for it. Usually if one overdoses a clarifier it can just make the water cloudy if it's polymeric or just clog the filter too much so the only remedy is to clean the filter to remove excess product. It should not represent a hazard unless you were to not clean the filter and its pressure rises to the point of potentially damaging the system (bursting weak points or damaging the pump).
