  1. dl3, I'm in the Tri-Cities. The economy is worse in Yakima than here, I believe. We got a Sundance Certa 2008 floor model for $6k and change. They also threw in a cover lifter, stairs and the bubble wrap liner. The cover itself is included by the mfg. You may want to do some comparison shopping and a bit of negotiating.
  2. I'd love to see a picture of these 'robes'. Could be fun project......
  3. Just got my robes from Thirsty Towels. I got the 16oz spa robes. Very thick, 100% cotton. The xs/petite is a bit smaller than the description. I'll save that one for guests. Now, I have to see if the OSFM (One Size Fits Most) will fit the hubby (he's 6 ft).
  4. Allison, Do you remember where you bought it? My dealer actually does emergency work!!!! Yes, I know I'm lucky! I'm sure you don't have a pilot light, unless your heater is gas fired. Perhaps you can get an emergency call into your guy, and he can walk you through whatever is wrong. BTW, it's 21 here in the Tri-Cities, and supposed to go to 14. We're looking at highs of 8 on Saturday! And, yes, my hubby is out of town too. Marion
  5. Hmmm, We were supposed to have our tub delivered today. It's now 17 degrees Fahrenheit (-8 C). We cancelled the delivery because of the icy streets. My dealer said that they will winterize the tub with antifreeze, and everything should be ok until we can fill it and hook electrical up to it. We're going to try again on Wednesday (but it's supposed to snow!) You may want to call the manufacturer and find out if yours is winterized.
  6. I have another newbie question. We just put down our deposit on a Sundance Certa. We're going to place it on our existing concrete patio underneath our second floor deck. So, do we want to put down some sort of insulating material between the spa and the cement to help keep heat from being lost in that direction? I know that heat prefers to travel upward, but it also seems like cement likes to draw heat out of things. Thanks in advance for any advice.
  7. Have you gotten the store name? This would be a great gift!
  8. Thanks for all your input. I did do a search, but made the product name 2 words, so, nothing came up. Sigh........ I guess I'll be going with the standard cover after all. Now, to decide between the Hot Springs Aria and the Sundance Certa............
  9. Hello, I'm looking at a couple of hot tubs right now. Unfortunately, the 1st and 2nd choice of places to put it are on the west side of the yard. We often get high winds and occasionally hurricane force (anywhere from 35 mph to 70 mph). I'm concerned about the standard spa covers lifting and causing damage. Does anyone know anything about the "Spa Cap" cover? It appears to be a soft, air-filled multi-chamber cover that claims to stay put at 70 mph. Thank you very much!
