citizenshane Posted May 6, 2016 Report Share Posted May 6, 2016 So I got a free used hot tub... turns out its not a great deal. When I installed the hot tub, my electrician wired the spa box incorrectly. He ran the neutral to the bus bar instead of directly to the breaker so the GFCI kept tripping. I fixed it and got the tub running. Then the water wouldnt heat. I ordered a new heating element on Amazon and it arrived today. Ive had the tub turned off at the breaker for two days while I waited for the delivery. I removed the old element and noticed a crack on the old element terminals. Once I got that fixed and turned on the breaker it fired right up and sounded awesome. Then I noticed the control panel was no longer working blank screen no lights. Buttons do no respond to input.
