  1. I LOVE sitting in a nice warm hottub with ice cold snow falling on my head.
  2. that post hits the nail on the head! I just returned my Hydro Legend 3 to Costco in Edmonton, Alberta Canada. I asked the Manager what they do with the returned tubs. He said they throw em in the landfill! How crazy is that!! I understand their situation though. They can't re-sell the tub. And to re-ship it back to Florida would cost more than it's worth. It's a write-off basically. Anyways, it's been a long day getting my Hydro out of my deck and returned and my new Catalina put in my deck. I will post pictures of the whole ordeal tonight or sometime this weekend. But I definitely will post pictures!! If anyone wants to check me for accuracy please call Costco in Edmonton, Alberta. Call the store on 91st street. Ask a manager or a receiving person if they had a hottub returned. That was mine!
  3. wow...it's a good thing you didn't pick that Lexxus!
  4. Chapter 13? Where exactly did you find that? Chapter 11 is what's happening. A link was provided. Where's your source??
  5. I repair Hydro tubs or any brand!!!! And as always I get 75 per hour from the customer. If they want reimbursment they can chase it, I never have and I never will. If you own a Hydrospa tub and want service send me a PM nd I will get you in touch with a local repair guy in your area who will service your tub. You will have to pay him directly and the rates across the country are 75-95 dollars an hour portal to portal plus parts. I hope you have some extra cash stuffed under your mattress NW! You may need it!!
  6. Mine is hopefully going back today as well. The guy doing my return is owed alot by Hydro as well. So are two other local guys. Not a good situation for current Hydro owners. Who will repair your tub now?? Will you have to bear the expense of repairs?? Returning your tub may be the best and only option. That's what I'm doing. Of course I also had problems with my tub which prompted me to get the ball rolling on my return. I am looking forward to washing my hands of Hydro and their product!
  7. Thanks for the comments. I love the look of the tub sunken into the deck but it sure will make it a you know what to get it out and a new one put in! The local Catalina guy seems to have his screwed on straight and he is willing to come by tomorrow to pick-up my Hydro Spa and return it to Costco's receiving area while I follow in my vehicle with my receipt. Then they will install our new Catalina Spa. I'm looking forward to getting back to 104! P.S - I looked at Arctic, Sunspa, Beachcomber, Coast Spa, Dynasty and finally Catalina. Previous to these "dealer spas" I was looking at the Costco Infinity's and Pilates. Basically it came down to getting a tub with a stereo, that would be reliable and cheaper than 10 grand, and one that I could get installed before winter. Most dealers were backed up 3 - 4 weeks or more and their prices were higher on similar models. Also, the Cat dealer was willing to help with the removal and return on my Costco tub which most other dealers didn't want a part of. As mentioned I will be taking pics to update the board of my progress.
  8. I'm prepared. Bring on Hydro Spa. I would happily fight them if they ever tried to sue me. I have every conversation with a Hydro rep documented. I have pictures upon pictures of my tub and 3 tech reports (1 for the first leak repair, 2 for the second leak looksee, 3 for the 2nd leak looksee and determination from the Hydro warranty rep that the Spa should be repaired in a shop or exchanged). I have a timeline of every phone call I made, non-return calls by Hydro, 2 emails from Hydro and my conversations with Costco keeping one of the store managers in the loop. EVERYTHING HAS BEEN DOCUMENTED. Everything. Bring em on.
  9. Let me understand - Dr. Spa hears from several un-named companies and suggests that HydroSpa is filing for bankruptcy. He asks for additional information. The only other post indicating they had heard a similar rumor is Ralpha aka "Alaska Recreation" who has only posted twice on this board. I searched heavily on various other spa-related message boards and couldn't find any corroborating information. I searched news reports from Florida and the only thing I could find was a 6-month old news report indicating HydroSpa was laying off 101 employees. HydroSpa to lay off 101 employees Dr. Spa may in fact be correct, but at this time, I'm going to sit on the skeptical side of the fence along with "New NW Tub owner" until some more substantial information is posted. Regards, Ken Hi Ken and NW. Here is some info on Hydro operating in bankruptcy. HYDRO SPA PARTS AND ACC INC (doing business as: "(Debtor-In-Possession)") SAINT PETERSBURG , FL LINK: http://partners.dnbsearch.com/cgi-bin/dand...TNERS&R=HL0 debtor in possession Definition A company that continues to operate while going through Chapter 11 bankruptcy proceedings. 10. Re-read my posts. Mine are accurate, have contact names and numbers, and pictures to prove my issues. What do you have to back you up?? I have yet to see ANYTHING! Not one picture of your tub. Not one! Yeah, you posted some nonsense about "Christine" who allegedly left the company and you posted an 800 number that anyone could get. Yeah, you really 'proved' your issues. You are as phony as the handle you picked, "unhappyHYDROSPAowner" which you first used when you made your first post a few days ago. Just your choice of a handle says a lot about you: that you came here for one reason, that your attitude towards hydrospa was not going to change, that you have an agenda, that there is nothing other than that agenda that you are going to post about during your 'forum lifetime' here. Say what you want NW. Hydro is done. I provide PROOF. Read it and weep. P.S - I am returning my tub TOMORROW. I will post many pics of me returning it. I can hardly wait for you to try to paint me as phony then.

Ouch that's gotta hurt!

  13. Do you think bankruptcy happens overnight NW? Yes it was 2 years ago that Gulf Coast and Hydro Spas ended their relationship. That would be about the time it takes for Hydro to figure out that they just can't make it without the flow through of 10,000 tubs a year that they used to do for Gulf Coast. As for not being able to find the public filings once again that doesn't happen overnight. Give it a couple of weeks and I'm sure we will be reading all about it. Lastly, can Tom or another Mod please remove NW from the boards? I take great exception to the following remarks towards me from NW. "So which Canadian hot tub maker do you work for , unhappyhydroFUDgirl? Why don't you come clean? Beachcomber? Arctic? Pacific?" I have stated many many times my issue with my Hydro Spa and after almost every post I make regarding Hydro Spa inveitably NW pops up to slag me. I have YET TO SEE ANY PROOF OF NW EVEN OWNING A HOTTUB. DO YOU OWN ONE NW? WHERE'S THE PROOF??
  14. I know they aren't paying their bills in my neck of the woods. They also lost manufacturing of 10,000 units a year for Gulf Coast spas. Costco ma ybe dropping Hydro as well. I think Chapter 11 is a very real possibility. Local dealers of non-Hyrdro spa's in my area all said they think Hydro is goin belly up. This is exactly what I posted a couple of days ago about Hydro.
