Hello. I have a discharge leak on my Pentair intelliflow. Fixing to reseal it. When I put the piping back together, I plan to use unions directly screwed into the pump inlet and outlet. I see Amazon and Ebay have a 2 pack for $24. Pentair also sells them but they are $54 each. Reading reviews on the cheaper ones, some people love them, others say they are not as robust and leak after 9 months. What say say you guys?

Our pool is algae free except one spot. The side of the hot tub that faces west is brown. I'm pretty sure it's algae. Scrubbing with a wire brush doesn't phase it. I was thinking of draining the hot tub and scrubbing that wall,with muratic acid. Maybe diluted? Is that ok to do or will it harm the pebble Tec ?

Anyone ?

Hello. We have a 4 y.o. pebble tec pool. Algae is bad on one swim out step that gets a lot of sun. When using a nylon bristle brush or scotch brite pad, the agae just laughs at me. Is it ok to use a brush with soft metal bristles - like copper ?

Hello! I have a 2 year old salt water pool with a Pentair Easy Touch panel (and remote). I would like to look into replacing my pool and spa lights with the Pentair Intellibright lights. Going through the pool company the price is $3K ($1K /light ). I have a guy that can do it "on the side", however, I want to educate myself first. Is this posssible? As far as I know, the j box by the pool that powers the lights just has copper conductors as opposed to having electronic feedback to the panel. How will the panel know there are intellibright lights connected? We did some reading and it seems that the lights have a circuit board and the panel pulses the lights cycling the LEDs so maybe it is not an issue? I just want to make sure it will work before I break out the wallet.
