poolowner32
Hi I have in-ground vinyl liner pool that is in the process of liner replacement , I decided to replace the skimmer , since it has been there for at least 20 years . So I broke the patio concrete , dug up the skimmer , and discovered that an opening in the steal wall where skimmer mounts to is corroded , especially the bottom portion , the clearance holes where screws goes through are rusted out to the point that i can't mount thew skimmer . My few questions are as follows : Can I cut new opening for a just a few inches over in the steal wall and drill new clearance holes ? Plug old one with a piece of sheet metal and move the skimmer over ??? Can I use a piece of flex pipe to connect the skimmer to an existing rigid pipe that is coming out of the ground ?? I would appreciate some input from you guys
