pmark
The jet pump wires connected to the circuitboard of my Hot Spring Sovereign appear to have gotten so hot that melting has occurred. What could have caused this? Could it happen again? What do you suggest should be done to replace the wires? PreservedSwine
Make sure you use the right size cord. The terminals on the main PCB still appear to (luckily) be in good condition. The copper either corroded, and wasn't able to handle the load, or the pump cord had been replaced with a smaller one, that eventually over-heated. Replace it with an adequate sized one (14 gage braided should be ok)
Dr. Spa
This can also be caused by a lose connection...such as the spade connector not being tight enough. or the wire improperly crimped into the spade connector.
