Mystery Brown Dots

I just returned home from working out of town last 5 days. Flipped open the hot tub cover and noticed my filter broke off at the base where it screws in. Pulled it out and unscrewed the base , and looking down some weird brown dots caught my eye on the edge of a seat. Before I left, I turns it down to 90 and shocked with spa gaurd bromine powder( mostly dichlor) filled the floater and closed the lid. Floater still some tablets in it. I don't have a taylor kit yet. So without adding any chemical yet , I used a bromine test strip and it looks fine to me. About 3 weeks ago, I did a aaah-some clean and bleach super clean. And I was maybe in two times since . Any Idea what the brown dots are? As soon as you touch them , they go away .

See if putting ascorbic acid (vitamin C) on it gets rid of the spot. If it does, then it may be iron in which case perhaps your fill water has iron in it.

Well maybe they are like you say remnants of greases/oils dislodged by the Ahh-Some but not completely physically removed by the drain/refill.
