  1. I live in Northern California and we had a old 30+ fiberglass pool. My husband cleaned it out all by himself and now all we need is dirt to fill it in. The problem it how do we get and how much do we need? We have or had a 16 x 33 pool the end was 9 feet. Would it be better to just hire someone to fill it in. How much would this project cost? It stopped raining and would like to have a backyard again. If anyone out there have any suggestions please, I will answer all. Most Sincerely, Becky rkrill@sbcglobal.net
  2. How much has this pool cost you right up front? Look under the scope of small claims in your county. Look and see if they have a business license and if they are using legal workers to perform the work. Look under the secretary state website and do a business search and see if they have another dba or a corporation name they have listed. I know in Clalifornia small claims actions will be going up to $7,500, you may want to look up your state website. You may also file online as well. Look up the company and see if there are other people in your situation, if so, then I suggest you go to your district attorney. Or better yet TV works well, like we have channel 7 on our side. Some station that has the consumers best interest, and go to your local newspaper that also works great! I hope these suggestions would of some use to get this guy to either get moving on your pool or get your money back. Check and see if the person who ownes this company has property. Put a mechanics lien on his property, please look up your state laws on this. Good luck.
  3. My husband is on his last stage of removing our pool and the bottom of our nine feet is where we are stuck. Water keeps on dribbling back up and seemed to fill up about a foot. What or how can we open the bottom of the drain. PLEASE HELP! HOW and what kind of tools to get to the drain. The entire pool is empty but the only part that is left to remove the drain and that would be it other than the electricity which we turned off a long time ago. THE WATER KEEPS ON COMING IN AND MY HUSBAND CAN'T GET THE REST OF THE POOL OUT!!! HELP HELP
  4. I agree, you should not give them another dime until your pool is complete. They should not threaten you with suing you, how dare they! $30,000 for over year and their not even license to contract in your state. Actually you can go to the district attorney or look it up on the internet secretary of state website for criminal activity. Also search for that particular corporation and see if they have been sued before. Don't feel that you should feel that your credit will be ruined. Small claims you can counter sue, if they should sue you. It is called a defendants claim. Fortunately starting in 01/06 it goes up to $7,500.00 in California. You should check in your state. Don't feel like a victim, check them out and put them on the spot and maybe out of the business or may get your money back
