  1. I need a new filter for my 2006 Caldera Geneva. I don't want to buy from my dealer. I don't know the size of the filter, and I am afraid to order online because it asks for size. I would also like prices on pillow replacements as I have gotten mold spots that I can't remove on mine. If it is not appropriate to send links, please pm me or email me at ivies@bellsouth.net. Thanks so much!!!!!!
  2. How about avoiding getting them in the future if I buy new pillows?
  3. Caldera lets you turn the circuit breaker off on the heater and still keep the full circulation. That's what I do in the summer. My tub is at 99 now. But I am in Florida. If I take my umbrella down it goes up to 101.
  4. Hi all. I live in Florida, and only use my Caldera Niagra about 3-4 times a month. I keep the water perfect, but since the cover is closed so often, I have developed black mold spots on my pillows. I cannot seem to find a way to clean them. Any suggestions? The magic eraser just falls apart.
  5. I have a 2 year old and a 10 year old. We use our spa like a little pool. The baby loves it. He can stand in the middle. Both kids like to snuggle in it. My 2 year old has his own special seat (when he sits) which is really a cool down seat. Usually he travels around the seats though. I have a Caldera Niagra. It's bigger than you are looking for, and runs closer to $8-9,000, but some features you will want to look for because of your young kids would be: -a cool down seat or 2 -open seating...no lounge -control panel lockout -nothing that seems easy to pull off or break Good luck in your search! It is a great family-togetherness item. It is the only time my baby is awake that I can be with him without chasing him, plus I can semi relax as well! (We keep the temp at about 98-99 for the baby).
  6. I just checked out the new Caldera site. They also have a new stereo system available. It looks like an add-on, not built in, and is listed under accessories. I want it. Do you guys know if that can be added to an 07? My dealer knows nothing about it yet.
  7. If I were comparing the two without a wet test, it is like comparing 2 cars without motors!!! Try them wet!!! Personally, though I think you have chosen the 2 prettiest spas, I didn't like either one wet. You NEED to wet test. Everything changes after the test.
  8. Artesians are generally considered a good spa on these boards. I have never heard a negative. Try doing a search for Artesian. If you wet tested the spa, then you should be good if it is a reputable dealer (check them out). If you have not wet tested the spa (as well as others) I would not suggest buying it until trying it and others.
  9. We (my 2 kids and I) just got out of the spa. We were in it for 2 hours at 97 degrees. It is about 80 out today. We wouldn't have made it very long without the umbrella, plus I would have had to put sunscreen on the 2 year old, which I sure would not want in my tub! The best part is that it can swivel, and I do move it as the sun moves across the sky.
  10. The umbrella just has it's own stand, does not attach, but I do have to put a big brick paver to help with the weight. A 12x12 paver fits between the feet that are t-shaped, and it seems to be made for that. Here is a picture. It's not a great shot of the umbrella, but it should give you an idea. They sell them everywhere for between $200 and $300.
  11. I have a side mount umbrella that I love. I can swivel it around to get shade when I want it during the day as the sun moves, and can put it down to see the stars at night. BUT, my spa is also in a screened area, so you may need more protection than that.
  12. I'm thinking of doing the same.....I just can't believe there is only one company that makes these! $250 is expensive! I worry that they may be out of business if there is a warrantee needed.
  13. Sorry to be ignorant, but how do you use a plug-in meter with a hard wired spa?
  14. Just got another bill for January....$378. At least I leveled back down a little. I went from 75 KWH/day last year to 91 this year. Still seems like a big jump. I did, however replace all of my appliances this summer. They are SUPPOSED to be more energy efficient, but I have only seen my bills go up. My A/C is going on 11 years now, so I think I'll look into that. January's total was 3001 KWH vs 2485 last year, and we took down our Christmas tree & lights 2 weeks earlier this year, and went away for 6 days. Unfortunately, because of all new appliances, I guess I can't really have a good judge.
