Susanj
A Spa Frog came with our new hot tub - it's got a cartridge with granulated bromine & a silver Ion cartridge . We also use MPS for a shock . I don't understand why the customer service representative for the manufacturer on the phone told me we can also throw in some Dichlor . If you're using the bromine as a sanitizer, what do you need to add chlorine ?
KyleCT
Spa frog is good, but expensive and hard to know when the bromine cartridge has been depleated. You should need dichlor as well, I run the following SpaEase Brom Bank - I use this to get sanitizer level to 3ppm upon fill up - note you have to use equal parts of Brom Bank and Activator MPS to do this, but it allows you to get right up to 3ppm instantly SpaEase Activator - MPS Shock - I use this in conjunction with Brom Bank on start up and then after each use after that SpaEase Bromine Tablets - after reaching 3ppm I use these in a floater to maintain 3ppm all week long and only have to add more tablets once a week SpaEase Mineral Stick - Same as frog but much cheaper. Hope this helps simplify your chemical procedures Kyle
apostlej2015
King Technology products are the worst. They do not work too well (I used a @ease and had many issues till I found this board and started the nitro method). I am on month three today of Nitro! Funny enough a week ago was the first time in 2.9 months I had to mess with my TA (pH was 7.0). Put in 1oz baking soda and my pH is locked at 7.6. With Nitro I simply add dichlor when CYA is low and bleach everday. Spa never has scum lines. Water is always xtal clear. I would read the Nitro sticky. Its gold. Dr. Spa
All their products are "the worst"? Looks like you only used ONE of their products, and it didn't work for YOU.
