cougre
We just bought a house that had been on the market for several months and it came with an above ground hot tub. Unfortunately the tub was not maintained and came down with a bad case of pink slime. I did the research and decided on the Dichlor decontamination sequence. Drained tub, scrubbed with mild soap solution, rinsed. Filled tub, added dichlor to about 100-150 ppm and ran it for 24hrs, cycling the jets for the first hour. The next day the water was clear with a barely perceptible cloudiness. I drained the tub and and I'm ready to refill and switch to normal bromine levels (wifey can't tolerate chlorine), however the white plastic interior is stained pink up to the water line. It appears to be *in* the plastic matrix of the hot tub and not on the surface. So on to the question: is there a way to safely clean/bleach the plastic back to white?
