chem geek
Hydrogen peroxide and chlorine neutralize each other. So if the hydrogen peroxide was added to a pool with chlorine, then there is probably none left. Just add chlorine and as soon as you are able to hold a Free Chlorine (FC) reading, there will be no hydrogen peroxide left in the water. HOWEVER, if you are using a Baquacil/biguanide/PHMB pool, then do NOT add chlorine to it. In that case hydrogen peroxide is supposed to be in the water as it acts as the oxidizer in such pools. Chlorine is incompatible with such pools and will react with the Baquacil/biguanide/PHMB to give a cloudy colorful mess, though eventually with enough chlorine is the way to convert such a pool to a chlorine pool.
