Hayward Colorlogic Light - Trips Gfi

Recommended Posts

I have a Hayward ColorLogic pool LED light. (120 volt version) SP0525LED100

This spring it will not turn on. It is tripping the GFI breaker in the control box. I checked all the wiring connections making sure that they are all good and tight. I swapped out the GFI breaker thinking it may be going bad. Still doing the same thing.

At this time, I suspect that the light may be the problem. How do I check it out? Should I remove it from the housing and look for moisture in the light? Or see if it functions out of the water?

Has any swapped out one of these lights before? It looks like Hayward has a newer version out now. 4.0 (SP0527LED100)

Will that work in my light housing? Should I look into a different make/brand that will fit the housing opening?

Thanks for your help.
